• T R A N S F O R M A T I O N • Building muscle or losing weight -- these things TAKE TIME. So often people quit before they give their body an honest chance to show the work that’s been done. It won't happen over night. You have to COMMIT to the grind.
—
Commit to the good and the bad, the ups and the downs. Just keep going. Commit to the time and the dedication and the discipline it takes to accomplish your goals. It WILL pay off. But it starts with consistency, day in and day out.
—
4 year difference. FOUR! What if I told you at the very beginning that the body you want would take that long to achieve? Celebrate the small accomplishments each day and month -- they add up!

Hi, I’m Kristin Kotinek! I‘m a fitness professional local to Houston who’s core drive is centered around empowering women through fitness and overall health and wellness. I strive to supply women with the tools they need to excel in health, spirit and life! Through my workouts, I hope to inspire women to “be more than a pretty face” by showing them both their physical AND mental strengths. I believe when one woman grows, we ALL grow! Hope you join me on this journey so we may grow together. :)

• E M P O W E R • Generally I would say F the numbers on the scale, but in my case - as an MMA competitor - the scale means everything.
—
For my clients, however, I try to instill physical AND mental health as priorities over weight; There is a major difference between being skinny and being healthy.
—
When I was “skinny” (120 pounds vs current 140), I obsessed over tracking my food, stressed over working out every time I did eat, binged and purged and used adderol as a means to stave off hunger. I used working out as a punishment and food was my guilt.
—
Looking back at old photos of me at my tiniest, I clearly remember thinking at the time that I was still fat or flabby. **Sure, I was the smallest I had ever been, but I damn sure didn’t feel good about myself.**
—
Since realizing that skinny does not equate to healthy OR HAPPY, I’m at a higher weight yet spiritually in a place where I’ve never felt
✨ stronger
✨ healthier
✨ more at peace with myself
✨ more accepting of myself
✨ more in love with what my body is capable of doing instead of how it looks
—
Most people workout for aesthetics, but if you’re constantly chasing physical perfection, it’s pretty difficult to sustain the chase. If you’re not already loving your body as it is, you will always look in the mirror and find a reason to critique it.
—
Accept your body as is now and learn to love the process of trying and failing. In a way it can be fun to solve your own personal puzzle of unlocking which methods work best for you and all aspects of your spiritual, physical and mental being. The looks you desire will come natural as you work towards clarity and discovery of Self.
—
Self-love and Self-acceptance is the answer to all. Establish a relationship of love and RESPECT for your body and soon the rest will follow.
