The Island Warriors are a Houston-based Dragon Boat Team dedicated to teamwork, heritage, and FUN! We welcome paddlers of all backgrounds and skill levels!
Come join us for a great time on the water and claim your seat in our family. The Island Warriors are a diverse group of dedicated dragon boat fanatics that compete in different events throughout Houston and beyond. As we look back on 2025, our hearts are full. From the grueling challenges on the water to the incredible memories made off it, this year has been one for the books. We are so grateful for every new face we met and officially welcome our newest paddlers to the Idubs family.

There truly is nothing like an Island Warriors Holiday Party! We sure know how to have fun-and we stay competitive even when we're outside of water training. The night was definitely on! We accidentally broke one table, wasted maybe a few cups, and yes, someone snorted some organic flour….But we made sure our bellies were full from all the yummy food and our hearts were full of holiday cheer. May you all have the happiest holidays! 🎄🎉🕺💃

What a day! The Paddle Battle is done! We powered through a lengthy dragon boat competition filled with hilarious and humbling challenges—paddling with only our hands, navigating without a steerer, and using paddles upside down. Uncertain which part we enjoyed/struggled with more, but it was a blast! Sincere gratitude to the organizers and everyone who showed up 🥳
