Week 4 we attended our second district event, Central Mass!

We ranked fourth at the end of qualification matches after facing some technical issues at the beginning of the event. From there, we were chosen by the first seeded team @230, and allied with @5112. It was fantastic working alongside these teams, making it all the way to finals and winning the event!

We were very fortunate to win the Excellence in Engineering award, as well as having our very first Dean's List Semi-Finalist winner, Kitara! We are so proud of our students' work this season, and we will see you all at our next event!

To round out Women’s History Month, we have Caitlyn! Caitlyn is a senior and this is her third year on the team. She is our team captain and operator, and specializes in electrical. Outside of robotics, Caitlyn enjoys drawing and painting.

Kitara is a junior and this is her third year on the team! She is the Co-Captain and Chairman’s lead, and specializes in sponsors and outreach. Outside of robotics, Kitara enjoys soccer and music.

Allison is a senior and this is her first year on the team! She is a dedicated hardware student that specializes in fabrication. Outside of robotics, Ally enjoys photography and music.

2168 had a great time at Western New England this past weekend! This was our first district event this year, and it was incredible to see some of the teams we have worked with in past seasons.

Starting off the event strong, we ranked second at the end of qualification matches. We allied with and , making it all the way to the finals before falling to the first seeded alliance.

With not a dry eye in the house, we won the Chairman’s Award: the most prestigious award in FIRST Robotics Competition. We were recognized for our efforts in promoting STEM and diversity within our community, and combating world hunger.

We had a wonderful time, and we are looking forward to Central Mass this weekend!

Deidra is a senior and has been on our team for five years! She is a caring hardware lead that specializes in electrical and outreach. Outside of robotics, Deidra enjoys piano and speech and debate.

Kaleigh is a sophomore and this is her first year on 2168! She is a lively marketing student that specializes in finance and sponsor communications. Outside of robotics, Kaleigh enjoys make-up and music.

Rachel is a senior and has been on our team for four years! She is a passionate design and hardware student that specializes in fabrication, assembly, and this years tower design. Outside of robotics, Rachel enjoys art and rowing.

Anna is a senior and has been on 2168 for two years! She is an ambitious hardware student that specializes in powder coating, assembly, and fabrication. Outside of robotics, Anna enjoys field hockey and cooking.
