July 4, 1919 — The legendary heavyweight bout between Jess Willard and Jack Dempsey shook the world in Toledo, Ohio! 🇺🇸

Dempsey unleashed a ferocious attack, knocking Willard down seven times in the first round and claiming the World Heavyweight Title in just three brutal rounds. This fight is still considered one of the most dominant performances in boxing history! 🏆

For me, it was in 1997. I was with my college buddy visiting family in San Francisco.  One night in the summer, we went out to the Sir Francis Drake Hotel to hit the club and some beers.  Well lo and behold, who do you think I see trying to dance with his teammates Scott Spiezio, Matt Stairs, and a few ladies?  Sluggo himself!  No big deal other than the fact that he was on the DL for the second time in recent weeks with lower back strains. 🕺 😆

🏆 Key Milestones & Achievements:
·         First player EVER in MLB to join the exclusive 40-40 Club: 40 home runs & 40 stolen bases in a single season (1988) 💪🏽🔥
·         1986 AL Rookie of the Year 🏅
·         1988 AL MVP (unanimous!) 🥇
·         Career totals: 462 home runs, 1,407 RBIs, 200 stolen bases

I started to put together a nice little🌹 garden a few years ago for the PC and am glad I did. You can never have enough 🌹 🥀 for February 14th.

Be careful sending high end merchandise with USPS. I thought their overnight express service was pretty safe. I cracked a PSA 6 Koufax rookie and added a 1956 to send in for a signing. The company notified me immediately today that the contents had been stolen by a postal employee, almost certainly in either Santa Clarita or Van Nuys.
