After years of sweating, growing, and achieving together, we want to share some exciting news: FITNESS PROJECT is joining forces with Planet Fitness. All five of our Houston-area clubs will soon be converted to Planet Fitness locations.

While this marks the end of our incredible 5-year chapter as FITNESS PROJECT, it’s also the beginning of something new. Over these years, we’ve been proud to live out our mission of purpose-driven fitness—changing lives both inside and outside the gym. Together, we’ve raised more than $500,000 to support organizations like Child Advocates of Montgomery County, Boots for Troops, Habitat for Humanity, and many more—along with countless local sponsorships and community initiatives.

Most importantly, we want to thank YOU, our members, for inspiring us, for helping us elevate our communities, and for transforming your own lives along the way. Your energy, commitment, and community spirit made FITNESS PROJECT more than just a gym.

As this transition takes place, we hope you carry forward what has always been at the heart of FITNESS PROJECT: “The Best Project You’ll Ever Work On Is YOU.” Continue to move with purpose, pursue your goals, and embrace the journey ahead.

As part of Planet Fitness, you’ll still enjoy a welcoming, judgment-free environment with an incredible variety of equipment—and we’re excited to share that some of our popular group fitness classes will continue under Planet Fitness. Please note that certain offerings, such as our PLAY Kids area and ApexMD Peptide offerings, will not be available moving forward.

Next steps:
• Between now and October 1, we will continue to operate as Fitness Project.
• Effective October 1st, 2025, all Fitness Project locations will transition ownership to Houston Fitness Partners (HFP), a respected Planet Fitness franchisee.
