According to Grok, the most popular consumer goods that we primarily import in the US are:
1. Automobiles and Parts
2. Machinery and Electrical Equipment
3. Clothing and Textiles
4. Computers and Electronics
5. Pharmaceuticals
6. Food and Beverages (coffee, cocoa, wine, some fruits, seafood)
7. Household Goods and Appliances
8. Furniture and Home Furnishings
9. Toys and Games
10. Luxury Goods - (high-end watches, chocolates, and spirits)
Determine which of these you may need in the immediate future, and which you need/want in the medium-term, then go be the type of person who puts the oxygen mask on yourself first before assisting others.
The port workers strike may end tomorrow, next week, or in 2025. Let's not become reliant on circumstances beyond our control.

I train Business Leaders on the systems to streamline & optimize their Hiring, so they can *quickly* and *confidently* hire WHO and WHAT they need.
I write, coach and lead. I share my experiences via podcast & video. Specializations include building agile teams, recruiting developers, growing startups and debunking your app idea as "the next Uber". I'm pretty good at true agile software development. I used to write a lot more code, but I'm recovering. I stay active. I'm a personal development & practical philosophy ju**ie. I seriously "adult" only when necessary. What is excellent about your life?

This gem from Alex Hormozi is profound in its simplicity.
Made me start writing down areas and times in my life where I made a few half-hearted attempts at something and then quit.
Maybe try it for yourself. Extra credit is to then honestly reflect on WHY you quit.

We tend to crave certainty in our lives. Often times, it's this feeling of certainty -- no matter how real or imagined it is -- that provides us the comfort, the perceived stability to take chances and seek out ways to meet our other needs.
I was reminded today that the only real certainty we can truly have is in the effort we put forward each and every day.
That doesn't mean you MUST go out and give your absolute best every day. It simply means that how we show up is always up to us.

I love the framing here. Your bank makes money when you spend money. Specifically, they make money when you spend money you don’t have.

A reminder for those with Resolutions: If you do not assume the identity of the “new & improved” you, you will revert back to where you are currently.
We always behave in ways that are consistent with our identity.

Awesome view of Minute Maid Park in Houston today. I may be a Phillies fan, but I also love the love of ⚾️.
If you feel stuck, like you're just focused making it through the day, I want you to know something: You're built for FAR more than just "survival", even if everything amazing that you're capable of might scare you.
(This is just the first short clip from the full 20-minute audio "You Are Built For MORE Than Just Survival". More clips to come...)

A little flashback to Wrestlemania weekend 2016.
I drove up to Dallas from Austin on Friday for NXT takeover (4th Row seats thanks to my personal trainer at the time!!)
The next day, my brother flew in from Illinois and I picked him up at the airport, we went to the Hall of Fame ceremony, and then Wrestlemania at Jerry-World on Sunday (also with pretty amazing seats, if I’m being honest.)
One of my all-time favorite weekends getting to experience that with my brother 🙌

Having to deal with your cost of living going up due to external factors outside your control doesn’t seem fair. It isn’t fair. But waiting around hoping a government or central bank is going to “fix” things is a recipe for financial ruin.
Fortunately, we live in an age of abundant opportunities, and there are a lot of levers you can pull to deal with increased costs due to inflation.
For a few reasons, I recently canceled a number of monthly expenses I could live without. They didn’t add up to much, but I wanted to have a little more 💰 available to invest. And deciding what to cut wasn’t easy either, but I took action knowing that most decisions aren’t permanent, and I can always adjust course later.

I like the way failure was treated as a concept in the book “Outwitting The Devil” (scroll 👉 to peep the cover in case you want to read it, which you absolutely should)
I now picture it kinda like this:
Imagine that every time you experience failure, you find yourself standing in front of two bins while holding that “failure” in your hands. One bin is labeled “temporary defeat” and the other is labeled “permanent failure”. You get to toss that failure into whichever bin you choose.
So choose which bin it belongs in, and then stop giving it power over your thoughts & emotions.
