🦌🍂 The Rut Is Changing, But the Hunt Goes On!
Over the past 27 years, here at Celtic Field Sports, we’ve witnessed firsthand how changing weather patterns and global warming appear to be affecting the red stag and sika rut.
With the unusually warm temperatures, we’re seeing the rut kick off nearly two weeks later than we would typically expect! Rather than being out in the open, the stags are sticking to the heavy timber during the day, only coming out to play under the cover of darkness when temperatures reach their coldest.
These changing conditions are making for some challenging hunts, but that’s all part of the experience! Our hunters and guides are putting in the time, adapting to the conditions, and still bringing home some magnificent red and sika stags! 🦌🏆
The conditions may change, but the thrill of the hunt never does!
