Co-founders of GenZouk, Jerry & Dany teach, organize, and grow the Brazilian Zouk community in Houston and beyond.

With over 10 years of teaching experience and multiple certifications (including dance therapy), Dany brings a warm,artistic and human-centered approach that helps students feel confident, connected, and free to express themselves through dance.

Jerry, an engineer by profession, offers a clear and structured way of learning, breaking down technique, musicality, and connection in a way that feels accessible especially for beginners.

Together, they create a welcoming space that balances technique, expression, and connection making Zouk feel both exciting and approachable.

Meet Annie and George, Instructors for NYNZ 2026! 🥳

Annie discovered Brazilian Zouk in 2018 and was captivated by the rhythm, flow, and connection of the dance. She loves how beautiful and powerful the movements can be. Annie has taught Zouk in Houston since 2021 and continues to be an avid contributor to the dance scene. 🤗

George discovered zouk in 2022. Besides enjoying the dance, what keeps George coming back to Zouk are the friends he has made and impact it has on his outlook on life. He loves simply connecting with others and having a good time. 🔥

Together, they hope to bring a fun, energetic, and welcoming class! 🫶🏽

Meet Heidi & Ben, two souls brought together by Zouk magic 🌌

✨Zouk has a way of bringing people together. Through connection and comfort, to explore the infinite possibilities of moving with someone in a moment that seems to goes beyond time and space. You have to feel it to believe it.✨

Heidi, with a background in ballet, found in Zouk a deeper understanding of the body and the beauty of safe connection. She’s believes deeply in the healing power of dance and enjoys sharing this art with the world. 🌸

Bentivi started social dancing 15 years ago, learning zouk in the motherland of Brazil. Being an introvert at heart, he finds joy in dance as a way to communicate without words. He is a passionate teacher and focuses on sharing the “how” of dance technique. 🌱
