Meet our newest member of V Tool Youth baseball and experienced tournament director Erik Almanza.
He was born and raised in Houston,Texas. He also started playing baseball at a very early age(4).
While he played Little League all the way to high school. After his baseball career was over, he started coaching his son from the age of 8 to 18 years old, which were some of the best years of his life. He has taken pride in his coaching career because he knew these kids looked up to him as a role model. On his weekends off from tournaments, he used to umpire baseball games as well, then eventually after his son graduated high school, he just umpired on the weekends.
Due to his experience and great efforts, he was promoted to regional Director and UIC with a former organization.
He’s been around the game for over 40 years now and has truly loved it. He feels being around the baseball diamond is where he belongs because it’s just not a sport or hobby, it’s a way of life.
