Rueda and M&M's today! 😋 The dancers at our Sunday afternoon "Advanced Rueda" workshop got to learn some challenging new moves...plus everybody walked away with a pack of tasty M&M's that were customized just for SALSA GRANDE. 😎 Always a fun time when we get together! ❤️

We always appreciate opportunities to appear in different parts of our local community and share our passion for dance. 🙂 So, a special shout-out goes to the Texas Salsa Congress organization for inviting SALSA GRANDE to do a demonstration of Rueda dancing at the annual "Northside Festival" on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. Best of all, this group of six dancers simply got to spend time with each together (plus extra family and friends) to enjoy a sunny Saturday afternoon! 😎

Another group of happy Rueda students! Thanks again to everybody who decided to stay warm on Sunday afternoon by listening to great music and learning new ways to use their Salsa skills. 😎 The photo is missing a couple more faces who needed to leave before the picture was taken...but those 3 hours went by quickly!

We forgot to get a pic of the yummy snack table! ☺️ Anyway, SALSA GRANDE officially wrapped up 2025 with a fun practice session for a few of our dancers who had free time on this Sunday afternoon. 🎶 Can't wait for more Ruedas and Latin dancing in 2026!

A special performance by Tito Puente Jr. is just part of the fun planned for "Mambo con Azucar" ...including Salsa dancing, live musicians, food vendors, etc. Plus, keep your eyes open for a long-awaited appearance by SALSA GRANDE's Rueda dancers! 😎
This outdoor, family-friendly event will go from 4:00pm to 10:00pm on the northwest side of Houston. Best of all, entry is FREE for all ages. ❤️

📺 Fun television segment with Michael (director of SALSA GRANDE) and Ruby Rivera (creator of the Texas Salsa Congress). They were invited to appear on the "Houston Life" TV show, which is broadcast live each afternoon on KPRC-Channel 2 (Houston's NBC affiliate).
Ruby described many of the terrific community-based events that she organizes with the support of the BANF organization -- and Michael added a few words around the 3:45 mark of this video. The segment ended with a few simple Salsa dance steps for everybody, including the hosts Tessa and Nick. 🙂

This weekend, SALSA GRANDE is happy to support the Houston Astros and Hispanic Heritage Month. ❤️ If you go to the stadium on Saturday, then look for us before the game...hanging out by the Latin band, of course. 🎶😉 Then we'll go inside to cheer loudly for home team! ⚾
