👜💦 What’s In My Swim Bag? Spoiler: It’s super simple!

You don’t need a giant packing list to set your little one up for swim success. Here’s my go-to lineup for ISR lessons:

✅ 2–3 towels (or 2 folded together, quick dry is a win!)
✅ A dry change of clothes
✅ A snug, one-piece swimsuit
✅ 2 reusable swim diapers (for our not-yet-potty-trained kiddos)
✅ And most important… a cheerful, encouraging attitude! 💛

Because showing up calm and confident helps your child feel the same way. Keep it simple. Keep it positive. You’ve got this! 💪🌊

That’s why ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) matters. It’s not about replacing your watchful eyes, it’s about giving your child the skills to survive if they ever reach the water alone. 🏊‍♂️💙

❌ Of course, I do not encourage any type of flotation device IN the water, however, there are times when a properly fitted Coast Guard approved life jacket should be worn. 

👍🏼 I can’t promote any one brand, because they can test differently on different children. (I do have a couple of favorites that always have tested well for me, so please ask me for pointers if you are in the market for one!)

🤩 I am always happy to test your child’s life jacket on them, in my pool. 

👇🏼 A couple of things to look for when shopping for a life jacket :

✔️ USCG (United States Coast Guard) approved

✔️ Type II (for younger children, as it offers head support) or Type III (for older children, who can swim and need mobility for use in water sports)

✔️ Proper fit (should be snug and comfortable, not loose or tight)

✔️Crotch strap

✔️Grab handle

✔️ Bright colors
