Needing a 4:35, Susan Rouse posted a superb 4:30:36 to earn a Boston Qualifier at this year's Chevron Houston Marathon.
However, she has moved into a tie - with Katy's Maria Camacho, who ran the half this year - for finishing the most Chevron Houston Marathons as a female.
Susan is also third on the all-time list for both genders behind Jack Lippincott's 46 finishes and the 43 each from Rick McMahan and Stephen McNeil.

And how about this bunch and the day they had two weeks ago at the Chevron Houston Marathon?
Another set of great performances.
Again, we couldn't be more proud of every single athlete!
Off we go to The Woodlands and for some, Boston in April!

Good evening!
Congratulations to all of our athletes for a job well done two weeks ago at the Aramco Houston Half Marathon in downtown Houston.
A few notes to pass along:
+ Tammy Grado completed her 12th Aramco Houston Half Marathon.
+ Rich Cooper finished his 13th
+ And alumni Donna and Mark Moran both earned their 14th finish.
+ Julie White was fourth in her age group. Her time was also the eighth best in Aramco history in her single age.
+ Kim White was eighth in his age group, and his time was the 15th best in Aramco history for his single age.
We couldn't be more pleased with the work invested and the outcomes - as well as all of the support provided to these athletes.

We're a little behind, but you all are forgiving people, right? 🙏
We pray, though, that you all are staying safe and warm this weekend if you're anywhere north of Florida!
Two countries. Two states. Two trail distances.
Couple of pretty good marathon - and more - weekends from our runners the last two weeks, aside from our great group that ran the Chevron Houston Marathon.

These folks got us rolling today for the two races tomorrow!
Thank you for making it happen!
To everybody who we also saw at the Expo today, it was good to see everyone -- even if we didn't get the opportunity to engage.
Our athletes have their race plans, are ready to go and we're grateful for health, wellness and great weather tomorrow morning.
Thank you also to everyone who will be officially volunteering and/or cheering your athlete(s) on tomorrow.
And to all of our Volte friends and those in our greater Spring, The Woodlands and Montgomery County run community, run well!

Holy mackerel!
That is quite the list of Volte marathoners for Sunday!
Volte, we're looking forward to a great day on Saturday, for those who are running the We Are Houston 5K, and Sunday in both the half marathon and marathon.

Volte has one of its biggest groups ever running one of this weekend's races at the 54th annual Chevron Houston Marathon.
Including our many number of Volte friends that are running, these are the athletes representing us on Sunday morning.
Marathon athletes will be posted soon!

Volte had runners and friends out at the first two Spindle Tree parkrun 5Ks of 2026. (Photos courtesy of Spindle Tree parkrun.)
In Thursday's race on New Year's Day, Joe Armstrong ran his second ever parkrun and beat July's time by a good almost four minutes!
Saturday saw Kevin Baker take second overall and Katerina Savelieva was the second overall female.
It was their 80th and 68th parkruns ever, respectively.
Volte friends Randall Ivins and Vincent Attanucci ran both days and Ken Johnson ran Saturday's parkrun.
It was Randall's 125th parkrun, Vincent's 131st and Ken's 53rd.
Just over 300 from the three of them!

Shout out to the Park family for braving the cold and running well in Erie, Pennsylvania on New Year's Day morning.
Jerritt was the men's overall masters winner in the 5-mile race, produced by the Erie Runners Club.
Wife Kristi was third overall in the 5K.
And son Brayden was second overall in the 5-mile race.
Jerritt reported that it was 18 degrees at race time and the course, although it had been plowed after six inches of the snow the night before, still had some ice and snow packed on it when the gun went off.

Beautiful day on Thursday to get 2026 started and like most years, we had Voltes running the Texas Marathon or the Half Marathon in Kingwood on New Year's Day.
Huge shout out to Robert Morgan for finishing his first marathon ever on a course - four identical out-and-backs - that mentally challenges runners maybe more than it does physically.
Our Nadia Binkley also ran the half marathon, primarily in support of Robert's effort to finish his first 26.2-miler.
Well done!
