The race vlog from my night at Little River Dragway is now up on YouTube! Brought a daily driver to mix it up with the racecars and actually went further into the program than I had expected!

AMT Racing: Bracket Racing at Little River Dragway Brought the daily driver out to play with the racecars and to make some content and ended up far deeper in the show than anticipated at the IHRA points race ...

Had a great night at Little River Dragway!

Entered 2 classes, running in No Box and Sportsman.
Made it through round 1 in both classes, got put out on a stellar run by my opponent in round 2 of Sportsman.
Kept on trucking and marched my way with a bunch of luck round by round through the no box class.
Fell just short of the big dance going out at 3 cars in No Box!

I had a fantastic time, got plenty of footage for the vlog, and can't wait to share the night with everyone!

Definitely got the itch after last weekends rain out. Out here at Little River Dragway running No Box and Sportsman in the pickup. Hope to get a couple win lights!

Another pre-season update!

On Feb 18th, I made the trip down to Houston to help Joey Smith with his new factory stock ride at the 105 Speedway in Cleveland Texas. Unfortunately ran into some bugs that couldn't be remedied at the track, but got some laps with the car and it'll be a great ride for him soon.

The Olds cutlass is now painted, lettered, and that much closer to making its first trip to the track. Still waiting on a carburetor and tires to fit the rules.

And Feb 26th I tried to join in on the drag racing fun with the dodge truck at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas. Where Unfortunately mother nature had other plans washing out the Raceway.

More exciting news coming soon!

Big update regarding AMT Racing in 2023!

2023 season prep begins now!
The hiatus has lasted long enough. Traded my flat kart yesterday for this 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Factory Stock car. With a different set of tires, a seat adjustment and battery relocation we can potentially be on track at least once before then 2022 season ends!

The 1979 camaro is still currently for sale, but. As time goes on it will slowly be built into an Outlaw Street Stock/Texas Stock car.

The 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 will pull Stock Cars around, as well as continue to be entered into the No-Box/Street classes at Division 4 dragstrips.

This is exciting to me folks, my schedule will likely still be limited due to my announcing commitments. But it's gonna be a blast on those off weekends!

More posts coming in the near future!

Race recap for 11/6/2021

Heat: 4th Started 6th
Feature: 5th Started 4th

Drove 800 miles one way to throw a kart sideways in the dirt at my favorite kart track, the Riverside Raceway Kart Track. Thanks Brad Dixon for all the effort to make it happen.

David and Joseph Smith for setting me up with a rocket to bolt to this kart. The track had some character and the carb didn't want to stay in adjustment. (Tillitson carbs for my kart folks). I believe I finished up in 5th overall though.

Thank you Kaylee Ann Gonzales for the great photos!

Been a while, but worth the drive! Running flat karts with 5150 racing at the Riverside Raceway Kart Track in East Bernard TX. Open class for all 3 of us.

Happy new year from AMT Racing!

The big announcement this time around, we’re going drag racing again! Look for the “Party Barge” 1979 Impala wagon in the Footbrake/No Box classes at Mo-Kan Dragway for IHRA competition and Tulsa Raceway Park for NHRA competition. Along with random stops at other tracks throughout the season. Leading up to running Hot Rod Magazines Drag Week in September. After a decade of talking about it, Drag Week 2020 or bust!

This doesn’t completely rule out some circle track shenanigans either, there’s some ideas brewing. But I’ll elaborate once there’s something to talk about.

See y’all at the races! - Andrew

2019 Season Recap:

With a shortened season, heres my 2019 Flat Kart Season stats. 4 events at 2 tracks, Acadiana Speedway in Breaux Bridge Louisiana, and Riverside Raceway in East Bernard Texas. 3 feature starts, 2 in the Open division at Riverside, and 1 in Predator Heavy at Acadiana. (Had one night end after hot laps with an expired engine) Started on the pole and finished 5th at Riverside in the spring running a stock predator in the open division. The pullcord broke on my predator at Acadiana in September and I piloted Joey Smiths #51 in the feature to a 9th place finish. I sold my kart after that race, and drove the #2 for team 5150 racing at the November Riverside race, had issues in the heat, started tailback in the feature and worked from 12th to 5th with an old school limited modified briggs on alcohol. 3 Starts, 3 Top 10s, and 2 Top 5s.

In June I made my first passes on a dragstrip since 2017 in my 1979 impala wagon at Mo-Kan Dragway in Asbury Missouri. Having good lights after all that time away gave me confidence to try and enter competition again in the nearish future.

Stay tuned for an announcement tomorrow regarding the 2020 season!
