As we start preparing for warmer months and making sure all our equipment is ready, please pay attention to products such as these. While they might give us a sense of safety, it is a false sense of security. Your child will feel confident that they know how to swim and float, but then they try to get in without these devices. They will not understand the proper techniques that they need to survive in the water.
The ONLY option to making sure we practice efficient water safety is to learn swimming and floating techniques.
We offer classes to all skill levels and ages! Please click the link in our bio for more information.

We hope everyone is staying dry on this gloomy day. Just some things to remember when planning outdoor activities with thunder and lightening:
⛈️ Continue to monitor the weather for any changes
⛈️ As soon as you see a lightening, time it. If thunder occurs within 30 seconds of the strike, the lightening is in a close area to where there is risk of injury.
⛈️ Once this has been established, go indoors immediately. Activity can approximately continue 30 minutes after the last strike.
⛈️ If you see lightening again before the 30 minutes , then the process starts over.

It is always important to take every precaution!!!

It is very important to consider what type of clothes your children are wearing. One of the most important places to make sure they are wearing proper clothes is in the water.
This chart really puts it into perspective what different colors look like in the water.
What do you think? Does this change your opinion about some of the swimsuits being sold?

We hope you enjoy this weekend, even though there is so much rain coming.
However, take this chance to work on and . Talk about the water falling from the sky...
"What does it look like?"
"Is it big?"
"How does it sound?"
"Is it cold or warm?"
"Look how it splashes on the ground."
Etc.
Any form of exposure is important in not only the development of your child, but also to decrease fear.
Happy !
