Hi, I’m Kyla, a 6th grader graduating in 2031 and a pitcher for Impact Gold National 2013. I’ve been playing softball for 7 years, throwing 61 mph as an 11-year-old, and competing in top tournaments like PGF. Off the field, I’m an Honor Roll student, artist, and multi-sport athlete who loves spending time with my Golden doodle, Teddy. To break the record for the fastest pitch ever thrown and become one of the top pitchers in the world! 🎯⚾

We got the job done in Sugarland today at the PSP Spring Battle and came home Champions. 🏆Shout out to my catcher working behind the plate and my teammates in the field.

I sat down 10 batters and had only 2 hits when I was in the circle. My pitches were on point all weekend and had a total of 25 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched this weekend with zero earned runs and .769 whip.

Also had a strong bat with a HR over the fence and 6 RBIs and .429 avg. Love helping my team both in the circle and at the plate. Currently at 50 strikeouts for this spring in 3 Tournaments thus far pitching. Consistent work pays off!

Next week back in college station for PGF. 💪🏼 Pitching Highlight below 👇🏼

Had a great weekend with my team! I hit my second HR out of the park and hit a PR of 64 mph in the circle pitching. Starting the season off great and thankful that all my hard work in the off-season is paying off.

Grateful about the week and weekend I had at the plate and in the circle, notching my first 2 over the fence home runs and then having a lot of success in the circle, even reaching a new PR of 64mph this past weekend. To top it off my team ended up winning the 12U Bomber Shootout in College Station this weekend! Thank you to all my coaches and teammates who help me reach these goals!

I had a great time helping my school out at the middle school championship swim meet held at the University of Houston last night. It had been 5 years since I swam competitively. It all came back to me when I jumped in the water.🏊‍♀️
I swam the 50 freestyle on both relays and it was a success. Also, my mom had the biggest smile on her face seeing me compete in the pool again.

Back in the water tonight helping my school at the 2025 HUPC MS Swimming Championship. Swimming freestyle on 2 relays to help my school get the win 👏🏼

Basketball last night and swim tonight and then back to basketball Friday đź’•
Love that I get to compete 💪🏼

Most people don’t know this but my very first sport was swimming 🏊‍♀️ . I was at the top of my age group and swimming all year around for USS swimming when I found my true love softball 🥎❤️. It broke my mom’s heart when I decided to switch sports because it was her sport but she knew my love for softball. My parents supported me and understand my love of playing multiple sports.
I’m still in basketball season but next week I get to go back to my very first sport, swimming, before getting back to softball.
I will be helping my school out next week at the end of season championship meet held at the University of Houston. I’m excited to be back in the pool and love that I can help my school.
Throwback photos of me and the time we visited where my mom swam in college.

PSA about learning new pitches!!!

Working on your fastball isn’t just about throwing strikes—it’s about building the foundation for every pitch you’ll ever throw. Especially at 9, 10, 11, or even 12 years old, there’s no rush to learn a new pitch. Why? Because the mechanics you use for your fastball are the same ones that should carry into all your other pitches.

If you haven’t mastered your fastball mechanics yet, learning a new pitch is only going to make things harder. And by “mastered,” I mean being able to throw strikes with full effort—without slowing down to hit a location. If you or your pitcher have to slow down to throw strikes or hit spots like high, low, in, or out, it’s a sign that the mechanics aren’t solid enough yet.

Adding a new pitch too soon can create more challenges: less accuracy with the fastball, less confidence overall, and slower progress in both areas.

Here’s the thing—softball isn’t a race. At 9, 10, or even 12 years old, it’s so much more important to have strong mechanics than to check a new pitch off the list. Did you know there are college pitchers STILL working on new pitches or refining the ones they’ve been throwing for years?

Patience now will pay off later. Focus on mastering the fastball and building the right habits. The rest will follow when the time is right.

Wrapped up my last tournament of the year with 🥎 I’m so thankful I got to play with such an amazing team.

This year’s hitting stats:
BA: .405 • OPS: 1.281 • SLG: .811
7 doubles • 4 triples • 5 HRs • 35 RBIs

I love contributing on both sides of the ball, and I’m proud to see my hard work pay off. Huge thank you to my hitting coach, Bill Bates, and my strength coach, Fernando Sosa. And to Coach Haley, Margo, Jim, Jay, and Coach Jordan for pushing me to be my best every day.

Ready to get back to work and gear up for next season!
