The offseason work continues!
Today during the athletic period our girls got after it in the cages and continued putting in the work to become better hitters. The offseason is where weaknesses become strengths, and every swing matters. We aren’t waiting for the season to get better, we’re putting in the work NOW. Proud of the effort and energy this group continues to bring each day. Keep stacking days and keep getting better.

North Shore's Alina Elias Honored with Prestigious Jennie Finch Empowerment Award
The North Shore High School softball family is proud to celebrate one of our own, Alina Elias, on being selected as a recipient of the prestigious Jennie Finch Empowerment Award.
Presented by Major League Baseball and ARM & HAMMER, the Jennie Finch Empowerment Award recognizes young women who exemplify the very best of the game, not only through their athletic ability but through their leadership, commitment, humility, integrity, motivation and dedication to those around them. The award includes a $10,000 college scholarship and recognition during the MLB World Series, making it one of the highest honors a young softball player can receive.
For those who know Alina, this recognition comes as no surprise.
Whether she's competing behind the plate, encouraging a teammate after a tough inning, or leading by example through her work ethic, Alina represents everything that North Shore Softball strives to develop in its student-athletes. She understands that true leadership isn't measured by statistics alone, it's measured by the impact you have on the people around you.
Throughout her career, Alina has earned the respect of teammates, coaches and opponents alike by consistently demonstrating selflessness, resilience and an unwavering commitment to making those around her better. Those qualities are exactly what the Jennie Finch Empowerment Award was created to recognize.
While Alina has also been a key contributor on the field for the Mustangs, finishing among the team's offensive leaders during the season, this award celebrates something even greater, her character.
Congratulations, Alina! Your North Shore family couldn't be more proud of the example you set for future generations of Mustangs. Your impact reaches far beyond the softball field, and this recognition is a testament to the outstanding young woman you have become.
