It is with great excitement and reflection that we announce that starting January 1, 2027, Rake City Cypress Baseball will be merging with the Houston Heat organization. We must first thank the countless families and players who have made the last 10 years possible. None of this would’ve been possible without your commitment to your sons and the leadership of our coaching staff over the years. We have been extremely blessed to play a role in over 35 former players (more to come from the C/O 2027 and 2028) moving on to pursue their academic and athletic careers at the college level, as well as numerous young men who have gone on to college, graduated, and become outstanding young men in their respective professions.
The Houston Heat is one of the most historically recognized and respected organizations in the history of select baseball in Houston and beyond. Their commitment to their players and families, playing the game the right way, and guiding young men is second to none. As the landscape of select and travel baseball continues to change each year, we know that we will be able to continue the values of our organization, combined with theirs, to lead the next groups of young men to the college level and their professional lives.
Lastly, there will be more information going out on our social media in the coming months about our organization-wide reunion that will be held in early January. Again, our sincere THANK YOU to everyone who has made the last 10 years memorable!
