Just had to share this awesome success story. It's still an ongoing journey but it's incredibly inspiring to see the way a person's health changes when they eat better, move more, and care for themselves π

Today was one of those days where I woke up not feeling 100% about myself. I've been feeling kind of fluffy.
My exercise has been off, my sleep has been off, my diet has been off and it's starting to show.
When I'm not flexing today was definitely a day I was feeling a little fluffy and disappointed in myself. But then I could feel the soreness from my workout yesterday and I can feel the strength in my body.
We all fall off the wagon sometimes but I'm so glad that strength and muscle take longer than a few bad days to disappear. It reminds me how far I've come, how strong I am, and that I can get back on track!
Looking forward to being my best self and appreciating where I am today regardless. It's always a journey. π

Accurate! π why are there no snacks??!?!
β¨PSAβ¨
There's a difference between "punishing yourself" by not having snack food/junk food around and knowing your trigger foods.
It takes maturity and reflection to build a healthy relationship with food.
Before you judge why someone won't have a piece of dessert or pizza --- give them space to be their best self.
It's a delicate balance but when you find it there is peace and harmony and health.
Food should not be related to guilt or shame. If it's going to trigger a downward spiral, it's ok to say no.
It's also ok to love yourself when you have some chocolate or sweets or whatever.
You're a person and you're beautiful when you are your best. π

Yesterday's lunch (and today's!) Homemade soup.
Just through together a bunch of stuff from the fridge and pantry.
Rotisserie chicken, carrots, celery, potatoes, diced tomatoes, bone broth, and seasonings. Perfect for these chilly days! Served with siete almond flour tortilla with a little ghee, garlic powder and parsley sprinkled on it (kinda like naan)

Something warm on a chilly day!
Breakfast this morning was whole30 compliant cooked apples on a sweet potato bowl using unsweet almond milk. With a little sprinkle I'd extra cinnamon for that extra fall taste π

Game planning. Let's talk about it!
It's Sunday so many of you may be starting to try and figure out what you can meal prep or plan for the week.
Making a plan like the one in the picture helps me so much! Even though I may not stick to what's listed on which days but at least when it's lunchtime I'm not wondering what I'm going to eat and end up eating something less than nutritious...
This also helps me make sure I'm mixing it up enough. Ever try to remember what you had for breakfast yesterday? Was it the same on Tuesday? This way I can clearly track that hey we've had enough bacon this week! And make sure I plan enough variety so we don't burn out on the meals and food I have in the fridge.
For example I just glanced at this and realized I have a plan to have tilapia today-- I had better get it out the freezer then! Very helpful so I'm not fumbling for dinner trying to quick defrost fish π€¦ββοΈ
The "to buy" column for me is actually just a list of what's in the fridge so I can mix and match as needed since I have a tendency to forget we still have leftover chicken or the salads probably about to go bad etc
*Note: if you are trying to read and understand this good luck! Lol the top portion is my husband's meals and mine are written in the bottom.
