What a night! ⚾

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Annual Meeting on September 22nd at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. The room was packed with parents, players, coaches, and neighbors, and that turnout says everything about this community.

We shared where the league stands, what’s ahead for 2027, and voted on our Board of Directors. Please join us in welcoming two new board members to the TWLL family! More on them soon. 👀

The 2027 season is going to be a big one, and we’re just getting started.

Empowering our youth through baseball, legacy, and community. 💛

😎THIRD WARD THURSDAY - Summer Edition

The calendar says summer. Third Ward says keep going.

A lot of leagues go quiet this time of year. Ours
doesn’t. Our board’s been in the room all summer —
locking down fields, chasing grants, and building the
plan to make room for every kid in the neighborhood
who wants to play.

And down on the field, our baseball and softball development teams have been putting in the work
all summer. Our baseball squad even hosted Pearland
Little League right here at George T. Nelson Park, a
real benchmark against one of the top programs around.
Win or lose, our kids competed, had fun, and
represented Third Ward the right way.

That’s the whole point. Show up for each other. Invest
in our kids. Build something that lasts, right here at
home.

Board meetings and mowed grass. Grants and ground
balls. That’s summer in Third Ward. 🖤⚾️🥎

Yesterday, we were honored. Today we honor you. 🏆⚾️
This weekend, Third Ward Little League received the 2026 Dr. Dezra White Leadership Award from the Houston Morehouse Alumni Association.

But the truth is, that award belongs to every father in this TWLL family. To our board dads, our coaches, our volunteers, our supporters in the stands and the fathers cheering from the fence line — you are the reason this league exists. You show up early, you stay late, you teach more than the game. You are raising champions on and off the field.

Happy Father’s Day. We see you. We thank you. ⚾️

This Third Ward Thursday, it’s hard to believe we’ve made it. 🤎

This Saturday is our final game day of TWLL’s inaugural season — and we’re closing it out the way it deserves. Together. On the field. Cheering our kids on one last time.

Game day timing has been adjusted slightly to give us the space to recognize every player individually and present trophies at the end of each game. Every kid. Every team. Every moment earned.

📬 Check your email and the TWLL website for updated game times.

To the parents, volunteers, and coaches who’ve shown up week after week — thank you. You built this season with us.

And while spring wraps Saturday, our work doesn’t stop here. We’re already planning offseason development and community events to keep our kids connected through the 2027 season.

Let’s finish strong, Third Ward. ⚾

You know what Third Ward Thursday calls for?

An auction. 👀

Three Astros experience packages are up for bid right now, including a 25-person suite! Auction closes this Sunday, April 26 at 8 PM. All proceeds go to TWLL. Check your email, go get it.

Our kids are about to walk the same field as the Houston Astros. 🧢⚾💫☄️

TWLL has been invited to join the 2026 Future Astros Program — and that means every registered TWLL player gets a FREE ticket to the May 17th game at Daikin Park AND a spot in the pregame parade on the field. Yes, that field.

The Astros take on the Texas Rangers on Sunday, May 17 at 1:10 PM. Family tickets are available at a discount through the league, and $5 from every extra ticket purchased comes right back to TWLL. That’s community showing up for community.

Check your email for the ticket link and discount code — and buy soon, this one will sell out. We’ll see y’all in Third Ward colors at Daikin Park. 💙
