16 years ago I was taking my first group of students to a tournament in Louisiana.

I was teaching Jiu-Jitsu in Houston for less than an year at the time and the school was very small, but I was able to pass to them the Jiu-Jitsu I have learned in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from the lineage of Carlos Gracie, Hélio Gracie, Francisco Mansor, Carlos Henrique, Andre Terencio, Andre king, Flávio Aleluia and so many other warriors, and masters of this incrível martial art that was introduced to me when I was 14 years old, in Tijuca, and it changed my life forever.

The two students in this photo, and Chris Galliano, together with were my very first students in 2007 and they are still until today part of my family. Loyalty is priceless!!!
