Mission accomplished ✨
Our lovely Nero finally had his moment to shine at last weekend’s Adequan’s Week 10 (National).
Competing at Prix St. Georges under the saddle of our rider , he secured an honorable 3rd place on Saturday. But more importantly, he captured the hearts of the audience—and even the event’s photography team—earning a highlight feature on ’s social media pages.
We couldn’t be prouder of our silver horse-and-rider team. We’re confident Nero will continue making us proud every step of the way.

Teamwork paid off! 🐎✨
On the way to Wellington for the Adequan’s week 10 (national), we set off with a feeling something special was ahead.
Our two horses behaved like true champions—always attentive to ’s timely aids, both during warm-up and, especially, in their tests. Paladin WL stood out in his USEF Third Level Test, earning an impressive 67.702% and securing a place on the podium! 🏆
We couldn’t be prouder of our golden horse-and-rider team. As Paladin continues to gain experience, we’re confident the scores will only keep rising!

Last weekend we were quite busy — and buzzing with anticipation — as took Nero CCM for a ride out of our home facilities.
Mission (well!) accomplished! Afterward, Nero clearly enjoyed some well-deserved rest, happily munching on some nice quality hay and catching up on sleep. 🐴🌾

This full moon brought us a special gift — Salsa WL’s first foal, sired by the incredible Poison CCM. 🌕🐴
Moments like this remind us how important it is to build and maintain a true connection with our mares. That bond shows from the very first interactions their foals have with us. Can you see Salsa encouraging her newborn to greet Tomás?
was one of Salsa’s presenters during the 2024 Model & Movements competitions, and it’s beautiful to see that trust still shining through.

Foaling season is in full bloom, and we’re thrilled to welcome our very first boy of 2026! 🐴✨
By Poison CCM and out of Nigra MAC, this sturdy, typical c**t already shows all the promise of growing into a true dark bay stunner. Strong, correct, and full of presence — we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season.
We can’t wait to see — and share with you — the upcoming foals by Poison (.carvalhomatos ) as well as the very first arrivals by our own Principe SS. Stay tuned… the best is yet to come! 🌟

Fulfilling days for our riders ✨
Each horse is a constant work in progress. As breeders, we set high expectations—especially since we manage the development of every one of our horses ourselves.
This weekend, we put our Lusitano stallion Paladin to the test. After competing in Model & Movements in 2024 and dressage in 2025, we are now continuing his journey toward the highest levels of dressage.
We kicked off the year at Ocala’s , where Paladin competed at St. George level under the saddle of . He completed his test with great effectiveness, marking an important milestone both for Paladin and for our stud.
This is just the beginning—many more competitions lie ahead for our horses & riders this year. Stay tuned! 🐎

Exciting news from the birthplace of the Lusitano 🇵🇹🐴
From today and throughout the weekend, Lisbon’s main equestrian center receives one of the most important events for the Lusitano breed. This is where prospect stallions are presented to the judges for evaluation — a key moment to assess the evolution of breeding programs and the vision each stud farm brings forward in selecting future sires.
This year, nearly 100 stallions are competing for entry into the Adult Studbook, making this an especially competitive and exciting edition.

As the season comes to a close, everyone at Wasatch Lusitanos is taking a well-deserved break to spend time with family and loved ones.
This pause allows us to reflect, recharge, and prepare for what lies ahead.
We are already looking forward to returning with renewed energy and focus, as we finalize plans for exciting projects set to launch in 2026.
