Why weightloss is hard when you do not have muscle. Cardio is not a hack for this. Cardio actually can make you very hungry especially when you go overboard. If not managed properly, you would find yourself eating much more than the calories you burned on your 45 mins on the stair master.
The effects of muscle on metabolic rates can be overblown as it is descried by most, but a 100 extra calories burned a day, is 700 a week and is a little more wiggle room than not having it at all.

This is one of the most underrated glute exercises on the planet in my opinion. With a barbell you can really load the bar in comparison to dumbbells. You can really increase your workout volume with a barbell.
