🌾 Della D. R. Holden “Farmer D” – Bio

Della D. R. Holden, widely known as “Farmer D,” was born on May 21, 1981, at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston to Charlotte Ann Norman and Eugene Holden. She is a visionary agricultural leader, entrepreneur, and community advocate committed to advancing sustainable farming, food justice, and economic empowerment.

A proud United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farmer, Holden manages her family’s ancestral land in Texas, transforming it into a thriving hub for regenerative agriculture, education, and community engagement. Her mission centers on reconnecting people to the land while promoting self-sufficiency and long-term sustainability.

She is the Founder of Socialites Riding Network Inc., a nonprofit established in 2021 that cultivates sustainable communities through regenerative agriculture, equine engagement, and responsible land stewardship. Through this organization, she leads impactful programs and signature events such as the Annual Happiness Event and Summer KickOff, offering hands-on workshops in beekeeping, farming science, and equine therapy.

In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Holden drives initiatives in community development, branding, and economic empowerment through her business ventures. Recognized as a trailblazer, she bridges agriculture, business, and cultural influence to create lasting community impact.

Affectionately known as “Coach Della D,” she is a respected mentor and advocate who empowers youth, women, and the Black community to pursue leadership, land ownership, and generational wealth through agriculture and entrepreneurship.

Beyond agriculture, Holden has a dynamic presence in the music industry. She is an artist and performer with The Zydeco Sisters, where she performs as “Lady Della D,” contributing to the group’s signature “New Sound of Zydeco.” She has also served as an executive producer on projects including “Da Dirty Country Drop” and is affiliated with 713 Entertainment LLC and, supporting music, media, and live entertainment promotion.
