🥎✨ Always Learning ✨🥎
I had the opportunity to attend Amanda Scarborough's training for high school pitchers, and it was incredible. She spoke on so many things that I personally felt when I was pitching and even more, that I can now pour back into my own pitchers.
While the session was designed for pitchers, many of the concepts she shared can be adapted to help every athlete on the field! Mindset, preparation, confidence, leadership, and competing with purpose.
Having women who advocate for softball and invest in the next generation is so important. Amanda is doing an amazing job being one of those leaders for so many young girls, and I’m grateful to continue learning from voices like hers. 💜
The learning never stops and neither do we.

If you’re watching college softball right now, I want you to pay attention to something that never shows up on the stat line.
Presence.
Watch how they walk into the circle.
Watch their shoulders.
Their pace.
Their breath.
Notice how little changes — even when the game does.
A strikeout doesn’t make them rush.
A walk doesn’t make them shrink.
A bad call doesn’t steal their posture.
That’s presence.
And it’s more powerful than speed, movement, or strikeout numbers.
I’ve seen pitchers with elite velocity lose games because their presence disappeared the moment something went wrong.
And I’ve seen pitchers with average stuff dominate because they stayed grounded, steady, and competitive no matter what the inning brought.
Presence is what keeps a pitcher:
• from spiraling after one pitch
• from forcing outcomes
• from letting emotion run the circle
It’s the ability to stay with the game instead of reacting to it.
And here’s what most people don’t realize:
Presence doesn’t magically appear in college.
It’s built long before that — in high school.
High school is where pitchers learn how to:
• regulate emotion when control feels limited
• compete when roles aren’t clear
• separate confidence from outcomes
• carry themselves the same on good days and hard ones
That’s the work that lasts.
College softball rewards the pitcher who already knows how to stay present when the game gets uncomfortable.
Not perfect.
Present.
If you want to learn how to build that presence now — physically, mentally, and emotionally — comment HS and I’ll send you the details.
This is the kind of confidence that doesn’t disappear under pressure.
And it starts way earlier than people think.
If you want to know how to build that right now, join my free live training on February 22 at 7PM CT: https://go.pitching-angel.com/4things
