Last night the Hudson Snow Trails Unlimited Club made $500 donations to Operation Help/Fresh Harvest, Christian Food Cupboard, Hudson Raider Shooting Team and the Barnstormers Snowmobile Club to go towards their new Club House/Community Center.

We're proud to support these great organizations who are making a difference in our communities by helping feed the needy, mentoring our youth and supporting the snowmobiling & UTVing communities.

Big thanks to Big Guys BBQ Roadhouse for the opportunity to participate in their Meat Raffles and help us support these deserving organizations.

From our Pierce County Snowmobile Council President Tom Lubich:
This was from safety week that Wisconsin DNR did a few weekends ago. So far their have been 10 fatalities from Snowmobile accidents in the state. Speed and alcohol are the two main causes. This season is coming to an end so please ride with caution.

Snowmobile operators: DNR conservation wardens and other law enforcement agencies will be on the trails Feb. 6-8 as part of the Sled Safe outreach campaign.

DNR wardens will share snowmobile safety tips with riders and will remove impaired operators to help keep the trails safe for all. Among the top safety tips is to ride sober. Alcohol is among the top factors in fatal crashes. There have been eight snowmobile fatalities so far in this new year.

Other tips include operating within your skill level, staying on marked trails, stopping and looking both ways before crossing roads and avoiding ice-covered waters.
