The Hudson Havoc are excited to announce the tender of Micheal Schmidt for the 2026-2027 season!

“I watched Micheal Schmidt the other weekend at a showcase and he immediately stood out. Him and his linemate, Will Cymbaluk, who we’ve already tendered, were two of the most noticeable players at the event. Micheal is a big center who skates extremely well, competes hard, and has excellent hockey sense. Watching the way he commanded the middle of the ice and controlled play really got us excited about what he can bring to our program.

What makes Micheal even more unique is his versatility. He played defense all last season and was an important part of the Granite City Lumberjacks team that won the NA3HL National Championship. Being trusted in that role on a championship team says a lot about both the player and person he is. Players with that kind of versatility, compete level, skill set, and championship pedigree are rare to find, and we’re extremely excited to have found that in Micheal.”

“I first saw Will at a showcase weekend, and he immediately stood out as my favorite player at the entire camp. I remember turning to my assistant coach multiple times asking, ‘Are you seeing the same thing I am?’

Out of the 200+ players at the event, Will was one of only four players I approached afterward. He separated himself that much.

Will is an extremely dynamic and creative player. His playmaking ability, high-end skill, and explosive skating jump out immediately. He has the ability to create offense out of nothing and consistently makes the players around him better every time he’s on the ice.

Adding a player like Will to our program gives us an offensive element that very few teams will be able to match. We’re extremely excited to have him in our organization and can’t wait to watch him continue to develop this season.”
