When everything seems lost, what's the one thing you will always have?

You.

In order to preserve yourself - body, mind, and spirit - you must persevere.

To persevere means:

You keep challenging yourself, despite how exhausting it is.

You keep overcoming adversity, despite all the obstacles in your way.

You keep moving forward, despite all the doubt placed upon you, by yourself or others.

At some point, your life becomes the results of your own choices. You have to stop blaming others, blaming your circumstances, and blaming the world for where you're at. Take some accountability, and turn it into action.

Don't dismiss your feelings. It's ok to mourn the life you'd thought you'd have by now. Grieve, be frustrated, be disappointed - just know that it's your life that's waiting for you on the other side of those feelings. Use those emotions as momentum.

Everybody faces challenges in life. The difference between you and others is whether or not you let those challenges dictate the course of your life.

We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond to it. You are more in control than you think you are.

Many people want to change but continue to make excuses the moment things get hard and they become uncomfortable. Comfort is complacency, and the path that challenges you will change you.

You have to decide how badly you want something because simply wanting it is not enough. The universe will test you to see how badly you want it. If you're not strong enough to handle the challenges of getting there, how will you hold onto what you want once you get it? Don't call it a goal if you treat it like a wish. A goal has a schedule, a cost, and consequences. If none of those exist, it's just fantasy. If you decide to quit, you'll never know just how close you were. Just because things didn't work out in the way you expected them to, doesn't mean they can't work out at all. Don't change the goal, just change how you get it.

All rejection is redirection.

All resistance tests your resilience.

All risks come with rewards.

Don't Quit. Pivot. Persist. Persevere.

The purpose and mission behind creating Amotive Action is to help people learn how to help themselves.

While any post I make could help anybody, I want to curate topics that will help people within my immediate circle. You all, as my friends, are important to me, whether we speak regularly or not.

With that being said, I want to know what you want to know.
What are your questions regarding exercise and overall health and wellness?
What's something you're struggling with right now?
What's stopping you from committing to yourself?

The point of this post is to help build community. You need to know that you're not alone in this.
If you don't wish to share publicly, message me!

Let's start with open and honest communication. Even if we've talked through things before, others may read your comment and resonate with you as well.

Actions>Words

To get the life you want, you must act as if you're already living it.
That version of yourself you aspire to be: How do they act and talk? What kind of hobbies and friends do they have? What does their routine look like?

That version is closer than you think.

Everyone says “Things are easier said than done” - That only becomes true if you let it. Doing becomes much easier when you erase all of the excuses you've been telling yourself: “I don't have money” “I don't have time” “I don't feel ready”

You don't need more money, when you can choose to spend money differently.
You don't need more time, when you can choose to spend time differently.
The reason you don't “feel” ready, is because ready is not a feeling, it is a decision.

When you chain yourself to limitations, you will never adapt to break free. Ask yourself “How can I make this work?” It may require a sacrifice many people are not willing to: Their Comfort.

Comfort is complacency, and the path that challenges you, will change you.

The future you is a concept, the current you is a guarantee. You do not have to wait for that job, house, car, relationship, or anything first to decide that you want to live and do better. You can choose to adopt those traits of that person by being intentional with your actions.

Doing the things you say you're going to do builds trust in yourself to change. Discipline is created through consistency and eventually, it becomes a habit that will help you, not hinder you.

“Going to” reinforces later.
“Doing it” reinforces now.

Watch how you feel after every “I did it”

Small changes add up over time. If you consistently added a single dollar every day to a savings account, at the end of the year you'd have $365, meanwhile if you added nothing at all, you'd have $0. Except instead of a bank, the investment you're making is yourself.

Your “future” does not hear your words, it reflects the action behind them. That life you want lives on the other side of the actions you make today.

You can break free of your chains, you've had the key this whole time.

If you want to break a habit, or start a new one, let's talk today, you're only guaranteed now. 🔥🐦‍🔥

The Phoenix is a mythical beast that in many cultures is symbolic of rebirth, renewal, and resurrection. When it senses its time is near, the Phoenix will deliberately ignite itself into flames and turn to ash, symbolizing the end of that life before starting anew. The Phoenix will then rise from those ashes, reborn into a beast more resilient and more powerful than before. It does not ask for permission to become greater, it just does.

🔥You are the Phoenix🔥

It's you vs you, and the old you, your self destructive habits and negative thought patterns, must die, to become something even stronger and resilient when faced with adversity. You too, will rise from these ashes. This is the way to freedom.

AMOTIVE is not just an acronym, it is the framework of the path you're about to follow that will lead you to living your best life. Fitness is not just about physical health, but mental health as well, as 6 of the 7 letters require you to rewire your thoughts. How you think is how you feel. This is how you turn your MOTIVE into MOTION!

🔥Accept - Your past and your present. You can't continue dwelling on what you could've, should've, or would've done. Maybe you've dealt with trauma or grief. Maybe you just got comfortable. In a world where our environment feels out of our control, one thing remains constant: Ourselves. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond to it. Once you can accept it, you can move on.

🔥Move - A body in motion, stays in motion. Get up and go. Something is always better than nothing. Little movements add up. Choose something that is more than what you're currently doing, but easy enough that you can stay consistent. Start stretching, start walking, start body weight exercises. Everybody starts somewhere, it doesn't matter where, it just matters that you start.

🔥Overcome - Comfort is complacency, if the path does not challenge you, it will not change you. You are going to face resistance. Overcoming that resistance builds resilience. Get used to being uncomfortable. Cold water doesn't get any warmer while waiting. Once you dive in and adjust, it doesn't feel as cold anymore. Doing things that seem hard over and over again makes them easier. You build resilience. The keyword to remember is “Yet”... It's not that you can't do something… you just can't do it “yet”.

🔥Trust - The process. You won't always see progress right away. There will be times where you feel stagnant. There will be times you feel you took steps back instead of steps forward. It's important to remember where you were before you started and recognize where you are now. Every day you show up for yourself and make yourself a priority, you're becoming a better individual than you were the day before. By doing the things you say you're going to do, you build trust in yourself.

🔥Inspire - Yourself and others. Energy is contagious, both good and bad. If people can influence you negatively, they can influence you positively as well. You too have this power to influence others whether it be friends, family, or strangers. You receive back the energy you put out, so make it good. Share stories with strangers. You may have a perspective to offer that they've never seen. Shine your light.

🔥Visualize - See yourself becoming the person you want to be. What kind of lifestyle is the best version of you living? What habits do they have? And what can you do today to take a step toward becoming that person? You don't have to wait to become that person. You can choose to become that person right now.

🔥Evolve - The ultimate transformation. You accepted, moved, overcame, trusted, inspired, and visualized. But there is no such thing as a final evolution. Everything happens for a reason and there are lessons to be learned from everything and everyone. Life, experiences, people, the world around us does contribute to who we become. It's up to you to decide HOW you let it shape you. If you don't like where you're at, then just like the Phoenix, die, and begin again.

It's hard to see it while you're in it. But you cannot just believe you can do it, you have to know it.

I know you can. And you will.

The 5 stages of grief are not entirely linear - but this "6th stage" of Revenge, is real in a personal sense. Revenge is when you do something to get back at someone. From this perspective, revenge for me was a way to get MYSELF back.

I have naturally lost over 150lbs. This transformation didn't happen overnight. This is the result of several years of trial and error, progress and plateaus. I spent more than half my life overweight. Food was taught to be a reward/coping mechanism. At my highest in high school I was 350lbs. I was riddled with back pain at 14 years old. In 2015 I was diagnosed with PCOS and prediabetic. I was told losing weight without meds would be an uphill battle, so I never tried. After high school I had nothing but time. I did body weight exercises and walked. I was consistent for 5 months and then quit. Years later I would lose more weight by walking. In February 2024 the journey truly began. I was 285lbs. The future I wanted was at risk. I committed to the gym 5 days a week - non negotiable. I would spend 2-4 hours a day there. I cut all major carbs, and anything with a lot of added sugar, and food dyes. I never counted calories or weighed food until a year later. I focused on high quality and high quantity - volume eating. People always asked me why I started. I'd say it's because I hated myself - physically, mentally, and emotionally. What had initially started from a place of self hatred, very quickly turned into a form of self love. I deserved to live a better life. I had reached 184lbs earlier this year. Now I am roughly around 200lbs. I am at my lowest body fat percentage having gone from 32.1% to now 15.8%. I am no longer pre diabetic. The gym became a place dedicated to making myself a priority. The level of discipline, strength, and clarity I've acquired is freeing. The gym builds a different type of community. You are surrounded by like minded individuals. Everyone there is there to better themselves. Energy is contagious. My goal is to become a PE teacher to set our youth up for success. Then, I will train parents to lead by example at home to reinforce that foundation, until it's solid. That's why I'm here. That's why WE are here. By practicing the values of AMOTIVE Action - Accepting, Moving, Overcoming, Trusting, Inspiring, Visualizing, and Evolving - we will build a community full of physically, mentally, and emotionally powerful individuals. 🔥🩵

What's good y'all?! Welcome!

I'm Alex, or Amo, your accountability coach, and if you found my page, or if my page found you, you're here for a reason: to make a change.

I'm here to help. My life's purpose is to help people realize their potential. I want to show how powerful a person can be, not only to influence and inspire themselves, but also others along the way. I want to grow a community of like minded individuals for everyone to know they have a support system.

Many people view fitness as a punishment, when in true practice, it becomes permission. Permission to live life freely. I decided to make myself a priority 2.5 years ago and my life has drastically changed. What was once thought to be impossible, is now possible. I surprise myself every day with what I'm capable of now. My childhood self would call me crazy if I told her what she'd be doing in a few years.

This isn't just another fitness page, this is a community dedicated to making yourself a priority once again.

AMOTIVE Action will help you put your motive in motion through these simple values: Accepting, Moving, Overcoming, Trusting, Inspiring, Visualizing, and Evolving.

It's you versus you, and the old you must die to become a new, healthier and happier, version.

Ready isn't a feeling, it's a decision.
Realize your power.
Rise up to the challenge.

Yesterday doesn't matter. Tomorrow is never promised. You're only guaranteed now. DM me, Let's talk TODAY! 🔥
