I used to feel guilty for getting people done faster.
Like if a color or extension appointment took less time, it should somehow cost less.
Now I realize that is literally backwards.
This weekend in Nashville, I ordered an Uber and it was taking FOREVER. My wife finally ordered a Lyft and paid extra for priority pickup because at that point, we wanted our time back more than we wanted the money.
We paid more to get there faster. And by the time we got home, my original Uber had only JUST arrived.
People don’t automatically value something more because it takes longer.
They will pay MORE for speed, convenience and getting the exact result they want without losing their entire day.
So if I can give someone the same beautiful result in a fraction of the time, I’m doing them a favor.
If I can create the color they want without making them sit in my chair for five hours, I’m doing them a favor.
Faster means I became skilled enough to stop making my clients pay with their time.
Period.
I teach these faster color and extension techniques inside Time Slicing School, and you can try it FREE for seven days.
