The NY Hamazkayin Nor Yeraz Dance Ensemble celebrated its second anniversary, in October of 2025. Nor Yeraz has grown steadily and, in recognition of this progress, announced the expansion of its program to include a new younger age group (ages 8–13), alongside its existing ensemble for ages 13–28. The younger age group has our instructor Avedis and Maria along with one or two volunteers from the older dance group.

Under the artistic leadership of our two instructors Maria Nercessian Bechirian and Avedis Khachatryan, Nor Yeraz has participated in numerous high-profile cultural, community, and artistic events across New York and beyond, including major galas, school fundraisers, Armenian heritage celebrations, media projects, and performances at NY Fashion Week and UBS Arena. They have served as backup to top Armenian performers such as Tonee Marino and Aram MP3. The ensemble continues to gain visibility and acclaim, with additional performances planned for 2026.

· Armenian Heritage Night in partnership with ARS Erebouni Chapter performing at Islander’s Game at UBS Arena 2025
· Performed at Armenian Sisters Academy School Fundraiser in Pennsylvania with Tonee Marino 2025
· Performed at Tonee Marino’s Armenian Affair event in Brooklyn NY 2025
· Participated in the Global Hamazkayin Kochari Project 2026
· Performed with Aram MP3 in Brooklyn 2026

Nor Yeraz feels blessed with the continued enthusiasm of our dedicated dancers, support of Saint Sarkis Church allowing us to practice certain Friday nights, dedicated executive who volunteer their time, supportive parent volunteers, and community organizations including NY Hamazkayin and NY Armenian Cultural Association. As it enters its third year, Nor Yeraz remains committed to fostering cultural pride, youth mentorship, and artistic excellence while serving as a vibrant and unifying force within the Armenian community.
