North Shore Mothers Club provides Socialization, Educational, Music and Wellness programs for Mothers, Babies, Toddlers and Caregivers.

North Shore Mothers Club (NSMC) is an organization dedicated to bringing Mothers together to learn from each other, share tips and ideas, gain parenting skills and provide a safe, family-friendly environment for Moms, Babies and Toddlers to socialize with one another. The idea is to bring families together and provide mothers with support, guidance and friendship while also offereing recreational and skill-building activities for children.

North Shore Mothers Club was founded by Julie Hernandez and her daughter, Nicole O’Neill.

Julie got her Bachelor’s degree from Dowling College and went on to become a certified addictions counselor. She has been a parenting educator for over 30 years and is certified to teach, Children the Challenge, The Step Program and Active Parenting. She has taught parenting in Puerto Rico and throughout New York State. Julie was the Director of the Pins Camp for Suffolk County Probation and served as the counselor for the Mothers Center of Suffolk County for 5 years.
Julie has appeared on CNN, MSNBC and The Montell Williams show, to name a few and co hosted a Radio Show, “Spotlight on the issues” for 8 years on WGBB. She has also been published in a number of local publications. She is the President of a nonprofit organization against bullying called New Perspectives and is available to do speaking engagements on a variety of topics.

Nicole O’Neill got her Masters in Social Work from Hunter College with a specialization in Children, Youth and Families. She provided individual/group counseling at an afterschool program in Queens. While there she started a Social Skills Building group for 1st grade boys and a Teen Girls’ Empowerment Group.
She worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City for over 5 years before resigning from her fulltime position as Senior Deputy Director of School-Based Programming in order to be a fulltime mom to her daughter, Ellie Jane.
Nicole’s daughter was her inspiration for co- founding Brawds and Bibs Social Club with her mother, Julie. While participating in various groups and classes with Ellie, Nicole wanted to create an opportunity for other new parents that encompassed the best of those experiences.
