🏈 HEMS Football — Practice Update! 🏈

Our first OFFICIAL MANDATORY practice is TOMORROW, August 10th, from 7–9pm at Huntington High School! We’ll also be holding a parent meeting at the start of practice.

📅 Starting this week, regular practices will be:
Tuesday (4:00-5:30pm), Wednesday - Friday (afterschool until 5:30pm) all at Altizer Park

✅ All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Huntington East Middle School are welcome to come out!

⚠️ A few reminders:

• Sports physicals must be dated after May 31st, 2026 in order to participate.
• Any other required paperwork needs to be turned in ASAP.
• August 14th is the last day for new athletes to join the team.

Huntington East Middle School - Huntington East Football 2026 Hurry, shop closes 08/17/2026!

This week we will only practice tomorrow (June 23rd) from 6:00-8:00pm up at Huntington High School. No practice today (June 22nd) due to weather. All athletes that participate must have a physical dated on or after May 1st, 2026.

Athletes will need their helmet, cleats, and a water bottle. Parents/Guardians of athletes are highly encouraged to join our parent remind. Please get with Coach AJ after practice for access.

There will be no flex football practice today (6/17)! Enjoy the day off!!

This week we will practice today (June 15th), tomorrow (June 16th), and June 17th from 6:00-8:00pm up at Huntington High School. All athletes that participate must have a physical dated on or after May 1st, 2026.

Practice this evening will be canceled due to weather and potential thunderstorms. Practice tomorrow is still good to go from 6:00-8:00pm.

Helmet Fitting and Mandatory Parent Meeting for summer ball tomorrow at Huntington East Middle School. Parent meeting will begin at 6:00pm, with helmet fitting to follow. Once players receive their gear, they are allowed to leave. No practice after fitting tomorrow.

Players and parents who do not show up for the parent meeting tomorrow will not receive a helmet or any gear until August. Remind info and our summer practice schedule will be shared with athletes and parents tomorrow during our parent meeting.

We will have flex practice next week for athletes interested in our program this upcoming season. We will practice 6/2-6/4 from 6:15-8:00pm up at Huntington High School. Upcoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are welcome. Drop off will be at the green gate before you reach the field.

All athletes must have a physical form dated on or after May 1st, 2026 in order to participate!! Below is a link to sign up for free physicals being offered by Marshall Sports Medicine Institute (spots are limited).
