Hey everyone, I’m cancelling tomorrow’s match against Emporia Vintage Base Ball due to the weather. Thanks to Angela Anderson, their manager, for understanding.

We had a great time today at the Wilson Czech Festival. The event organizers and the community members in attendance were fantastic hosts. We were able to walk alongside the Westerns Base Ball Club of Topeka in the parade, followed by a vintage baseball match at the fields on the north side of town. This was our day, as our bats were lively, and our legs were spry, and we beat the westerns 18-2 in a heat-shortened match. Tomorrow morning I have the honor of officiating a vintage match at the National Baseball Congress World Series between the Red Stocking and the Bull Dozers of the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club. This will be the finale of a very busy but very fun month of vintage base ball for our club!

We will be hosting the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club at our home field at Rice Park this Saturday, July 18th. We plan to play a doubleheader starting at 10am, so stop by and cheer on your local club. As always, it's free, nostalgic, gentlemanly, competitive, and a whole lotta fun!

Come out to Hobart Detter Field, home of the Hutchinson Monarchs this Saturday, July 11 at 5:30pm to watch an exhibition match between the Prairie Dogs and the Salt Packers, with the addition of a few friends from the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club. Following our short match will be the Jayhawk League All-Star game, so catch some baseball from rules books that are 162 years apart!

As always, we enjoyed visiting Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club on Saturday for a double-header. They were gracious and generous to donate a few ballists to round out our team. The Bull Dozers crushed us 23-10 in the first match, but we battled back to take the second match from the Red Stockings 11-5. Old Cowtown Museum is such a great place to play, and it's our honor to compete against their teams. They're a class act!

I can't think of a better place to celebrate Independence Day than at Old Cowtown Museum to play against our friendly foes the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club. They are kind enough to loan us a few players to round out our team, and we'll play a double-header starting at 10am. Come out and enjoy a really great museum and old-time base ball!
