This is a practice wall hanging in the kawandi style from India. It’s built from the outside in and has about a million running stitches. There is no planning with this quilt style. Instead, it’s an organic, very freeing style of patch-and-place as you go, no pinning or pressing. The last piece is in the center’ish of the quilt.

Pier 1 is a national treasure and will be closed for good in the coming weeks. This store in Albuquerque NM has such a loyal fan base of creative shoppers, it has been my pure pleasure to be part of the sales team. This store, in particular, will be missed by the community.

Sketched a neighbor’s home so they could frame it and hang it on their wall. They love their home, yard and garden so it was a pleasure to do this!

This sister (me) has been one busy embellisher! Crochet and paintbrush have been a welcome break from the slow-arts ( English paper piecing takes so long!!)

Another cool project completed recently with the help of Uncle Den (my favorite handyman). He helped me collect a number of vintage faucet handles. Then we attached them to my fence just at the back of my therapy garden, a sweet tribute to my perfect partner.
Garden is still a work in progress.

This is my before and after picture of my patio table where I enjoy coffee every morning and evening. Also a bottle of vino once in a while as noted. Turned out cute don't you think? It's embellished with lots of special mementos and reminders.

Thinking of my sweet embellishing sister, Bridget, on April 9 - can't believe it's been a year since Lyndol passed away. Please keep her embellished in your prayers, sisters.
