Day 5!! HEALTHY Fats!! Yes some fats are good to include in your diet such as well sourced fish, nuts, avocados, nuts and seeds. The omega-3’s help with inflammation, and these fats help with the absorption of other nutrients. Everything in moderation though… don’t be ordering too much Avocado Toast 🤪

Day 4 Pumping Iron!!! The literal function of the ❤️ muscle… Iron is important to help the blood deliver that sweet oxygen to throughout the entire body… When iron deficient 📉 one may feel fatigued quicker 🫠limiting success in rehab, and without enough oxygen the body cannot produce new cellular growth for tissue healing

Day 3… Let’s talk about Zinc, found in high quality beef, poultry, oysters and beans, this nutrient helps with the immune system, metabolism, nerve function and of course wound healing

Day 2 on our discussion of improving the diet to fuel the body for a successful rehabilitation... Vatamin-C is essential as it supports collagen synthesis, joint health, skin resiliance, and the immune system. Too much though gets filtered through the kidneys and out the "exit" so watch any vitamin C supplements that boast 1000% the daily value... most of that is going down the toliet.

A lot of focus gets placed on walking with prosthetic walking… I blame the song “These Boots are made for Walkin.” But the prosthesis is made for living! Modifying activities until able to perform them how you used to is 💯acceptable as long as you’re safe, working up a sweat and still having fun!

Daily steps helps your heart, your muscles, your mind, your bones, your immune system, your digestive system, your hormones... the only thing it doesn't help is your shoes because you're going to wear them out getting so many steps!
