Equine Yoga.! 🧘‍♀️ 🐎

This is not a place I EVER thought my yoga practice would take me. But when you have a friend like who wants to include you in her dreams and aspirations for the future, you have to say yes.!

Leah, owner of , and I are working together to have equine yoga available at her farm! We are hoping to have this available to the public soon. We will keep you posted. 😉

Yoga on a horse is not only confidence boosting, and a crazy core and balance workout, but it also creates a loving bond between you and the horse. And there is something to be said about creating a loving and trusting relationship with these mystical creatures.
It tends to give life a whole other meaning. And Carter (the horse in the pictures) is just the sweetest and most gentlest horse ever.

I haven’t worked with horses since I was in my early 20s living in Michigan, and I forgot just how much I missed it. Now in my mid 40s I get to incorporate my two passions: Yoga and Animals.

So excited for this next adventure in my life and grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me. Thank you Leah!! Your passion is infectious. ❤️

Mallory McIntyre came to join our family today! ❤️
She is literally perfection, and our lives will never be the same.
I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky to be part of this beautiful family. Scott and his boys have always loved me unconditionally and included me in all life’s adventures. And today I got to be one of the firsts to hold Mallory.
My heart is full and I am so grateful and thankful for the blessing that is this family.

🌟 Client Spotlight: Recovery and Renewal 🌟

“I have been working with Sarah in private sessions as I recover from an injury. After years of regular yoga practice, I needed to quit for a brief period. Sarah has slowly eased me into regaining flexibility and strength, as well helping to improve my form. This work has been immensely helpful. I highly recommend Sarah as a private (and class) instructor.” -MJ

We’re thrilled to hear about the positive impact Sarah has had on your recovery journey. Her dedication to helping others achieve their wellness goals is truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

At our studio, we believe in meeting our clients where they are, without trying to “fix” them. Sarah’s approach exemplifies this philosophy, as she gently guides her clients towards their goals, emphasizing the importance of using muscles rather than ligaments in poses.

Curious about how private sessions with Sarah could benefit you? Reach out to us today to learn more and start your journey to improved flexibility, strength, and well-being!

Today, we celebrate the remarkable women who have shaped our lives. From trailblazers like my grandmother, who pursued her dreams at 65, to all the women dedicated to creating their own paths, your strength inspires us.
Make sure to lift up and support the women who inspire you to keep living your dreams.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s essential to remember that love starts from within. Self-love is the foundation for all other forms of love. In honor of this special week, let’s indulge in a rejuvenating self-love restorative yoga practice and soothing sound bath to nourish our mind, body, and soul.

Nourish and Restore
Saturday, February 17th
6:30 pm

Sometime this week take a moment to reflect on the love and appreciation you have for yourself. Know that you are worthy of love, kindness, and compassion every day, not just on Valentine’s Day. Carry this sense of self-love with you as you continue your journey, nurturing yourself and spreading love wherever you go.

❤️Happy Valentine’s Day, dear one. ❤️
You are loved.

“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.” 🍋🍋🍋

This is my life’s motto. I am by nature an optimist and can find a silver lining just about in anything.

However, a series of events happened last Friday that led to my first panic attack while at work. (For those that don’t know, I also am a manager at a restaurant.) The details don’t matter really. What matters is that thanks to some amazing people that I work with I was able to pull it together and come out of it. 🌟🫶

Today, let’s shine a light on the importance of mental health. 💙 Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just starting your journey, it’s crucial to recognize that mental health matters. 🧘‍♀️ Even in moments of strength and serenity, we may encounter challenges like panic attacks, reminding us to prioritize our well-being. If you’re experiencing your first panic attack, know that you’re not alone. I see you. Take a deep breath, reach out for support, and remember that self-care is a vital part of your journey. 💫

Shout out to all the people who helped me through last weekend. Love you all. ❤️

🌟 Exciting News! 🧘‍♀️ We warmly welcome Christy, our new yoga teacher, to our vibrant community.

Christy practiced and did her 200hr YTT at Breathing Space Yoga up until it’s closing in 2020. She has since been practicing and demonstrating at Invoke Studio since then.

I cannot even begin to describe how excited I was when she reached out to me about teaching at Handy Yoga. Christy has a deep love for yoga and wants to share that love for the practice with others, and I feel so honored that she has chosen our community to do just that.

In our talks together we have shared our longing to create the same vibe as Breathing Space had. A loving and caring community, where everyone is welcome. A place to just “Come As You Are.”

Although I haven’t known her long (besides admiring from afar), it is like welcoming home a long lost family member. Help me welcome Christy to her new home.

Christy will be teaching a Slow Flow Mondays at 12:00pm, and a Strong Flow Saturdays at 9:30 am.

Practice. This expression of King Pigeon pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana) has taken over a decade of practice to even get to this point. I don’t often share pictures of me doing these “fancy” poses. Mainly because this pose is not even remotely attainable for most people, and I am not trying to add to people’s preconceived notions that you have to be flexible to start yoga. While also leading people to believe that yoga is all about the poses. Yoga is not just a workout but it is also a work-in. Let me explain.
So often we come to a yoga class just wanting to stretch our muscles. Aiming to gain flexibility so that we can move through our day with a little more ease, and I must say this is how my practice began. I honestly just wanted to not hurt after working on my feet on concrete floors all day. I used to say “I do yoga so I can still do my job.” But yoga is so much more than just getting “bending”.
Yoga asana, or poses, is an amazing tool to help calm the mind, getting you out of your head. It also creates body awareness. (Which I had none of this.) All while preparing your body to be able to sit in meditation. Once we remove stagnant and stuck energy from our bodies, we are able to sit still and quietly a little bit easier.
Yoga, for me, has helped me realize my body is a gift. I am blessed to have been given this body to live life on the this planet. Yoga has also helped me to not compare my body to others, remembering that comparison is the thief of joy, and be grateful for what I have been given.
My yoga practice has been a blessing. Helping me to find peace with who I truly am. No longer am I trying to “fit in” or be what I am not. I am who I am. Imperfect and perfect all at the same time.
Yoga has been the best gift I was ever given. It has changed my life for the better in countless ways. That is why I have this passion to share yoga with others. What I have shared today just barely scratches the surface of what yoga has done for me, and can do for you.
Yoga is a practice. A tool to help us live comfortably and freely with who we truly are. Yoga invites us to “Come As You Are”.

Embrace the year’s end. 🧘‍♀️✨. Our yoga practice prepares us to go with the flow, and to embrace the changing of seasons. Not only in nature but with our lives as well. Inhale positivity, exhale the past. 🍃

Welcome in new beginnings as we make room for the unexpected shifts life brings. Here’s to breathing, letting go, and embracing the beautiful dance of change.

🍁 In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let’s weave gratitude into our practice and daily lives. Inhale gratitude, exhale contentment—allow Santosha to guide your dance of thankfulness on the mat. 🧘‍♂️✨ Cherish the enough, for gratitude transforms what we have into abundance. Wishing you a joy-filled Thanksgiving, both on and off the yoga mat. 🙏🍂

With each and every breath we get the chance to begin anew. Your daily gentle reminder to just breath.
