We are super excited to announce that the Edmundson Team at Fairway Mortgage has signed on to be the sponsors for our first ever City Jerseys. To commemorate our return to having 2 sides this Fall League season, both our D2 and D4 sides will be wearing special City Jerseys for our first home game on September 7, 2024. These jerseys will be worn for 1 game only. We are already in talks for the Fall 2025 City Jersey in what we hope will become an annual tradition. Our plan is to honor a part of Indiana's sports history with each version. We believe this is a very historic step for USA Club Rugby National Championships and are excited to have the Edmundson team as part of the journey. Indy Impalas League Schedule Release for D2 & D4. Contact us today if you are interested in joining our quest for 2 Midwest titles. Indy will also have a preseason game August 10 at Michiana. Practices begin July 30th.

Well at least the older guys got the memo about Jersey Thursday.

Fall 2024 will mark the return of the Indy Impalas D4 side. Indy last ran their D4 side in 2018 & 2019 making it to the Midwest Final twice and winning once. Much like a lot of teams, COVID forced a bit of a rebuild for us. We are actively looking for new players to help round out our numbers for this fall. If you are interested in playing or getting back into playing, our D4 side (lovingly referred to as our D40 side due to our mix of younger and older players) is a great place to do it. Please contact us if you're interested in learning more.

Tomorrow is Jersey Thursday at touch. Rock your best basketball jersey and come out to Riverwood Park from 6-8pm to get a run in.

This past spring the team had noteworthy events like Indianapolis Rugby Day being declared by the Mayor Hogsett from City of Indianapolis and our Nationals Send Off Party in Downtown Carmel. Exciting news for Fall 2024 as we formally establish the Indy Impalas Player Pathway and re-establish our D4 Developmental side.

Whether you’re an up and coming player looking to push yourself to new levels, a MLR player looking for quality competition during the offseason, or just a club rugby player looking to stay active and play competitive rugby, Indy is a great spot to be on your journey. This past fall, 4 Impalas players were invited to participate with the Chicago Hounds Academy squad.

Additionally, we are excited for our D4 side to return for the first time post-COVID and offer additional playing opportunities for our players. Indy was the D4 Midwest Champion in 2018, D4 Runner Up in 2019 and of course D2 Midwest Champion in 2023. Reach out if you’d like to be a part of the journey.

Are you interested in high-level rugby? Well, you'll have to wait until August. Luckily though, you can catch us running around staying fit and sharpe until then. New or returning, old and young, or even just home for the summer, all are welcome! Summer Touch has arrived!

Big things on the horizon in Indy

Aging soccer field on Indy's west side could become $45 million rugby stadium K***z Stadium was considered a modern soccer facility when it opened in 1987. It is now in disrepair, but it could receive a second life as a home for rugby.

2nd to last Power Ranking as the state tournament will conclude this coming weekend. D2 South is looking stacked with the winner of Brownsburg/Zionsville taking on #1 Westfield. The true Iron Man performance may have to come from Pendleton who is balancing Nationals & State in the same weekend 🤯

National Semi-Final

A tough ending to a wild 10-month ride. The Impalas battled through injuries and an early deficit, but were unfortunately unable to take down the eventual D2 Men's National Champion, Miami Tridents. We're incredibly proud of the effort it took to get to this point. With this experience, we look to build on our Top 4 finish and come back even stronger next year.
