The goal of the IBA is to develop a pool of basketball talent that enriches the long term competitiveness of the Indianola varsity, junior varsity, and other competitive basketball teams at the state level, as well as to develop young athletes with a long term "love of the game" whether they remain competitive participants or fans of the program.

Saturday: Indianola Athletic Booster Club hosts the Chris Street Tournament. 4th-8th grade boys and girls from around the area will be competing starting at 8 AM at the High School, Middle School and Wilder Elementary.

7th and 8th grade Purple Teams played in the Southside Haunted Hoops Tournament. The 8th graders went 2-1 and missed advancing by just one point due to tiebreaker rules. The 7th graders play for the Championship today! Good luck, boys!!

We hope everyone is having a great summer!!! We know that many of our IBA kids have attended some awesome camps this summer, which we love to see! The off-season is the time to improve your skills! The IBA board wanted to show you these new mats that we purchased for the Street Gym at the Middle School. We also sponsored the David Nurse Shooting Clinic in June, which about 50 players attended. Now we will begin gearing up for league registration, so stay tuned once school gets started! Thanks for your continued support!
[06/07/17] Don't forget! Next week is the Indianola Boys Basketball Camp! New head coach Brett Watson, assistant coach Will Nailor, and the rest of the staff and players will be ready to work on skills, compete, and have fun! Grades 3-5 (entering) will be from 9-11:30 and Grades 6-8 (entering) will be from 1:00-3:30. Camp takes place at the Blake Fieldhouse Monday-Thursday next week! Cost is $50. The IBA Tournament games will not be played tomorrow due to inclement weather. Roads, parking lots, and sidewalks are in poor condition and wind chills are expected to be well below 0.
We will not be making the tournament games up, which is unfortunate, but the safety of our players and their families is most important. Thank you for being part of the 2016 IBA league! We appreciate your participation and support!
Tonight the 4th grade girls are watching a tribute to Chris Street's life before they vote on the Chris Street Award winner for this season. Powerful and emotional, but so important for the kids to see what their vote stands for. 🏀

IBA skills sessions are complete for the summer! The floors at the Field House are being polished up for the next two weeks and then it will be just about time for fall sports!!! [06/04/16] Summer Skills Sessions with Coach Nailor will be starting up again this summer! Come when you can---Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting June 7 lasting until July 28. This year sessions will be offered for boys and girls entering 5th and 6th grade from 6-7:30 pm and boys and girls entering 7th and 8th grade from 7:30-8:45 pm. Location is Blake Field House. There is no cost or registration. Please bring your teammates!!!

[07/14/15] Summer Skills Sessions with Coach Nailor will continue through the month of July-Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Field House. 6:30-7:30 for 3rd-5th grades; 7:30-8:45 for 6th-8th grades. No fee and no registration required! Take advantage of the last 6 sessions of the summer!
Starting today, and every Wednesday in July, the IBA is sponsoring Julian Seay Basketball Skills Camp.
Cost-$60 for 4 weeks of skills.
Location-High School North Gym
Times- 12:00-1:30 Boys/Girls entering 3rd-6th grades
2:00-3:30 Boys/Girls entering 7th-12th grades

IBA Night is Friday, January 2 during the IHS varsity games! The girls' teams will be introduced during halftime of the girl's varsity game. The boys' teams will be introduced during halftime of the varsity boy's game. All-tournament team members and Chris Street Award winners will be recognized at this time as well. IBA players are asked to wear their team jerseys or all tournament team shirts. Players wearing their IBA apparel will be admitted to the games for free.

[09/26/11] Oct 8th Star Shooter Camp Update: the IBA session for 5th-8th runs from 8:30 to noon. HS is in the afternoon.
Registration is OPEN for the Star Shooter Camp for Indianola 5th-12th Boys and Girls on Saturday, October 8th. Download the registration form from Coach Honeck's web site via the attached link, and send your form and payment by October 1st. IBA-registered players receive a $10 discount ($49 vs. $59).
[09/15/11] SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, October 8th. Indianola 5th-12th Boys and Girls Shooting Camp. 3rd - 4th grades will have an opportunity for similar camp at a later date.
