It may not officially be summer but, mornings like this make it feel like summer 🌼 Trix has been so much btmetter to ride since getting adjusted at Red Tail Ranch by Dr. King. And Ji had a huge break through.

No dummies were harmed in the making of this video! I literally could not stop laughing though 🤣 When you have a reactive horse with things over there head, you improvise. Ji tolerate my invention so well too!

Got creative with the boots in the stirrups today and the big guy did great. Not a major fan of the lasso but he settled just fine 🐴 As for Miss Belatrix she’s been sassy with this cooler weather 🐉 Jerzey Feldman

We had some more progress on the mounting block today. Jumanji, or Ji for short, stood quietly by the mounting block each time I put all my weight in the stirrup. We even got some chewing on the bit after a while. Jerzey Feldman

🖤

Earlier this week the Hidden Haven family experienced a tragic accident when the trailer transporting 5 horses wrecked. Thankfully, the three people in the truck were not physically harmed, but sadly despite the heroic efforts of first responders, 5 horses perished.

We would like to thank Dr. Stevens and the team at Steven’s Veterinary Clinic of Galva, IL for organizing the onsite efforts to care for the horses. There were 3-4 vets onsite overseeing and assisting all night, and we are so appreciative of all of the effort and care put forth for the horses. Additionally, we’d like to thank Bekah Irish and the team at Black Hawk Community College East Campus, Pattie Moran Bonnett, Andi Bill, Sarah Natario, Kat Zelno, Rachel Rock Robinson, Miranda and Blake Kadel, Galesburg Police Department, EMT, and the rest of the local horse community who took our calls for help and organized quickly to support.

This event is a lot to process and grieve, Even if we are not ready to talk about it yet, we feel your love and support. Thank you for being there.
