Had some great success last week in both Homosassa & Yankeetown throwing the Fuzzy Shrimp Hoppers... Dropped down to 8lb Braid on one of my rigs and terminated to 20lb Fluorocarbon leader to fish these smaller Jig ties.. 1/8 oz model handled the wind well.. Tipped them with live shrimp and put some nice fish in the boat.. Total blast hook’n into 30”+ reds on the light rig... Trout, Flounder, Mangroves and juvenile Snook (sub-slot) reacted well to them as well...

An hour fishing trip in the Mud Boat was very productive today. Limit of solid Redfish, some nice mangrove snapper, black drum, and a bonus keeper Grouper which was released ( out of season ). Rosetta Spoonbills are back for the summer, just the perfect day!

Had charter out of Crystal River today. Two deer farmers from Pa brought their fishing game and hammered the fish, Caught solid 20 plus inch Trout, Sheepshead, and Pompano all day! Had a childhood friend with me on todays charter along with an independent photographer. Everyone got into the mix. Water temp up to 74 degrees, fish are starting to eat like its summer time. Got a bonus 26 3/4 Inch Redfish while releasing several slot size reds. Another fantastic day in Yankeetown, Fl. Book Captain Mike!!! 352 949 4310

Fished with my cousin Brad Lucas and son Wyatt. Wyatt caught his biggest fish yet 24" Redfish along with several slot and under slot reds. After 40 plus Redfish we called it a day and finished at Riverside Restaurant for nice meal . Another great day on the water in Yankeetown Fl.

Today was a birthday charter, and the birthday guy was a one man wrecking machine, I needed 4 snook when the day started for a UF research project Im helping with and he got it done plus some including getting his limit of Trout. Happy Birthday Tim, always enjoy fishing with you and your family !

Finally put my dear friend Richard Malad on a good over slot Redfish, great trip today with Rick & Joni!!! Trout bite was awesome, brought plenty of fish to Riverside Restaurant in Yankeetown Fl to be cooked for dinner!!!
