Twenty-eight years ago, a newborn girl was left outside the Edhi Orphanage in Pakistan — but fate had other plans. Abdul Sattar Edhi, the legendary humanitarian, took her in, named her Rabia Bano, and gave her a home, love, and education.
From being an orphaned baby with no identity, Rabia’s journey became one of resilience and hope. She excelled in academics, earned scholarships, and interned with the New York State Assembly, Bronx District Attorney’s Office, U.S. Congress, and U.S. Senate. Later, she completed her Master’s in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Law, and today she works as a Senior Privacy and Compliance Analyst in the United States.
Rabia’s story is a powerful reminder of how the Edhi Foundation’s compassion transforms lives, proving that love, care, and opportunity can turn despair into destiny.
