The Yellowjackets fell short to an undefeated Huskies team with a final score of 1-2.
Braylon Kench, on his 18th birthday eve secured the first goal of the game off a pass from Wylie Martyn. The Ithaca defense held the Hemlock offense to a scoreless first half.
Entering the second half with a Yellowjacket lead, the Huskies countered with a pair of 2nd half goals.
The Jacket defense allowed only 10 shots on goal by Hemlock tonight.

The team came together with a lot of firsts tonight to defeat Chippewa Hills with a final score of 6-2.
The game started off with back to back goals from Blake Hardman. Then Wylie Martyn struck his first goal of the season to bring the Jacket lead 3-0. CH came back with one before the half ended to bring the halftime score 3-1.
At the start of the half, Brody LeBaron got his keeper debut while Griffin Marcy moved out of the net and up to forward. It was a scoreless second half for the first 20 when Chippewa Hills got one through to bring the score within 1. The Yellowjackets weren’t done yet as they found their fire with under 10 to go. Braylon Kench scored his first and then second career goal while Jaren Paradise added one between them. The entire team got a lot of playing time in different positions to contribute to a IHS victory.
The Jackets are back home on Wednesday to face Hemlock in a conference match at 5:30pm.

The Yellowjackets lost to Saginaw Valley Lutheran in a conference match 2-5.
Valley put two on the board before Blake Hardman played the ball well off a rebound to secure Ithaca’s first goal and bring the score 1-2, which rounded out the first half.
Valley Lutheran got another goal in the beginning of the second half. But the Yellowjackets answered with a crossed pass from Rayland Perez who found Jaren Paradise to secure their second and bring the score within one again, 2-3.
Unfortunately, the Chargers didn’t let up and came charging down the field two more times to bring the final score 2-5.
Griffin Marcy continues to rack up saves with 21 in this match.

The team came together tonight in a well-played match to get their first conference win against Saginaw Nouvel with a score of 4-1.
Forward Rayland Perez scored the first goal for the Yellowjackets 24 seconds in.
Midfielder Jaren Paradise rounded out the halftime score 3-0 by securing a PK and another goal.
The Jackets started the second half strong by finding the net again to give them a 4-0 lead before letting up one to the Panthers for a final score of 4-1.
