Attention Anglers! KLAT event #5 is rapidly approaching. We will be launching out of Birdsong Resort & Marina again. August 15th takeoff will be 5:30 am. Sign-ups start at 4:00 am and weigh-in will be 2:00 pm. It may be adjusted morning of depending on climate change. Please message, text or email me if your attending, so I can get roster ready for the event. * CASH ONLY morning of, if you plan on paying thru Venmo/PayPal please do so by Thursday the 13th by midnight. **Remember teams /solo anglers must fish or pay for 5 out of 6 events to fish in the 2-day classic. If you've missed one for some reason, you will need to fish this one or pay for it no later than the 15th. Only one more regular event is left after this.

Summer Slam pics!

2026 Benton County Summer Slam is a part of history. We started off the day with rainy conditions and ended in very warm humid conditions. That's fishing as we know it here on the Big Pond.
Below are the spots of every team that weighed fish today. Top 3 guaranteed money winners were Gary Singleton and Eric Law in 1st with14.41 for $2,000 and second Big Fish. Chris and Chandler Pruett were 2nd with 14.37 for $1500. Zach Leeper and Robbie Bartoszek in 3rd with 14.31 for $1000. Congrats to Ethan Clapp and Ketron Graves on Big Fish of the day with a 6.95 lb., large mouth. Special thanks to the Benton County TRRD and all of our sponsors for helping make the KLAT/Summer Slam another success this season. Thanks to Winkey Hodge, John Maines and Jammy McCloud for their help as well. I couldn't do it without a good weigh man and photographer. Congratulations to all of our drawing winners of the door prizes and the Benton County Cash Back. I appreciate everyone that attended and I look forward to the KLAT #5 watch for details location could be changing.

The 2026 Benton County Summer Slam is underway. A bit moist, but it sure beats the 100+ temps. We have 43 paid boats giving it a shot at the garrunteed top 3 places. Good luck to all, we start weigh-in at 2:45pm. We'll see just who has the heaviest 3 fish for the scales. Pics and results will be posted afterwards.

Attention Anglers!!! Join us for the Benton County Summer Slam next Saturday July 25th. This is an Open tournament to everyone, those teams that are KLAT trail teams will get points for fishing (as a regular event). Many things will be given away throughout the weigh-in. There will be the Benton County Cash Back drawings as well. *SO, turn in your receipts of purchases made in Benton County. Receipts from Saturday July 18th to Saturday July 25th are eligible. Call Birdsong Office and mention KLAT for special rates per night. *This will be a 3 Fish Tournament due to hot temps. Pre-entries can be sent by US Mail (allow time for delivery, it must be received by July 22nd) Entry fee can also be sent by Venmo or Pay-Pal, (please contact John for payment info). All pre-entries must be received by July 22nd to allow time for processing.
