🚨 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

The Mississippi Orioles are proud to welcome Coach Ledarius “Red” Clark to the flock as our new Hitting Coordinator! 🧡🖤

A Meridian, Mississippi native, Coach Red brings a wealth of playing experience and baseball knowledge to our organization. After starring at Southeast Lauderdale High School and East Mississippi Community College, he continued his career at the University of West Florida, where he earned All-Gulf South Conference honors. In 2015, Coach Red was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 12th Round of the MLB Draft, becoming the highest draft pick in University of West Florida baseball history at the time. He would go on to spend five seasons in the Rangers organization, reaching the Double-A level while earning Northwest League Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star honors. Coach Red is also currently competing professionally with the Meridian Blues.

Coach Red’s professional experience, elite hitting knowledge, and passion for player development make him an incredible addition to the Orioles family. Our players will now have the opportunity to learn from someone who has not only played the game at a high level, but has lived the journey many young athletes dream of taking.

As we close the chapter on the 2025-2026 season, we want to recognize two teams that represented the Mississippi Orioles with tremendous pride, heart, and determination. Both finished up their World Series this past weekend.

🟠⚫ 12U Black and 12U White showed incredible growth from the Fall to the Spring. The development these young men displayed both on and off the field was nothing short of remarkable.

🏆 The 12U Black team captured multiple championships throughout the year and earned a promotion to the AAA level, proving that hard work, commitment, and belief in the process pays off. A special thank you to Coach Marcus Ragan, Coach Cam Upton and Coach Josh Taylor for their leadership, guidance, and dedication to these young men.

🏆 The 12U White team also brought home multiple championships and competed with relentless effort every single weekend. Their fight, resilience, and growth were evident all season long. Thank you to Coach Austin Upton for the foundation he helped build and everything he poured into this team. Following Coach Upton’s accident, Coach Brice stepped in to lead the group, alongside Coach Willie Johnson, and together they continued pushing these boys to grow and compete at a high level.

To every player and family—thank you for trusting the process, embracing the challenges, and representing the Orioles way.

The future is bright, and we’re just getting started.
