I help busy women simplify the process of gaining strength and confidence through fitness. SHE/HER

For Christmas this year, give yourself the gift of preventative healthcare. Check the recommended screenings for your age and get those appointments scheduled! After normal results for years, I recently went through a very stressful cancer scare when extremely abnormal findings were discovered on a routine exam. We caught it just in time. I know the healthcare system in the United States is beyond broken, but if you have access, please get a checkup. It could save your life!

It is officially below 60° in Florida, so I am getting out the sweatpants and winter hats!

I’ve been training women since 2015. I’ve made it a point not to be political on this platform. Unfortunately, as a pre-and postnatal fitness trainer and women’s fitness specialist, my job is inherently political in our current climate. My existence as a woman and mother has been politicized. I have seen over and over again how vital access to care, treatment, and medical privacy is for all of us. I have friends that would have DIED without access to healthcare (yes, abortion is healthcare.) An 18 year old in Texas died this week, unable to access care for her miscarriage until it was too late. The rights we have lost in many states, including the one I live in, are vital to women’s health. I voted in Florida to preserve body autonomy and medical privacy for women by voting YES on amendment 4. The reality is that our rights are very much on the ballot, locally and federally. The decisions made will impact the health, fitness, wellness, and lives of women for generations to come. I share this in hopes you will all understand why I feel the need to speak out about this here. I want my clients to know I support their right to make healthcare decisions with their family and physician. Hopefully in the future women’s health will not be politicized and our rights will no longer be on the ballot. Until then, I do feel it is my professional responsibility to speak out about this and share where I stand.

Normalize complimenting women on things that have nothing to do with their appearance.

We're all for complimenting a woman's appearance when it's consensual and appreciated in your relationship. 🌟

But let's move away from *only* focusing on appearances.

For instance, telling a new mom she “doesn't look like she had a baby” — we promise it’s NOT the most impressive feat this woman has accomplished in the last year! 🌼

So skip the appearance-based comments and call out her other unique qualities, such as:

✨ “You’re so artistic!”
✨ “You have the best sense of humor.”
✨ “Your passion for your hobbies is beautiful!”
✨ “You really make a difference in the world.”

(H/T to GGS Academy Founder Molly Galbraith for these awesome examples!)

Let’s recognize women as the amazing, multi-dimensional, talented beings we are.

Tag a woman below who’s important in your life and share the love! ❤️👇🏾👇🏿👇🏻👇🏼👇

Spotted these guys on my walk tonight. How adorable! I am starting to feel just the tiniest bit of coolness in the air on my evening walks. It’s a good time to get outside! walk #

Four minute workouts? Yup. You’re much more likely to succeed if your plan is flexible and doable.

Pictures never do it justice, but I do enjoy the evening sunset walks.

I work 365 days a year, but I LOVE my job and sometimes my office looks like this. Blessed is an understatement. Tomorrow I’ll be working from NYC!
