No racing for WPMS this upcoming weekend on the 11th of April!!!

Are anyone race cars ever ready to run until 2 am the morning of? No matter how much I try it seems like it is almost always a last minute push and a s**t ton of extra last minute items. After my last outing with popping brake lines and almost eating the wall in turn 4 I am determined to start practice and get all the way thru the finish of the race.

Here is the next race that we have our eye on! We are going to make it and make it farther than 3 practice laps complete! Plan to come out and enjoy the festivities of the family fun night!

Well. Not the day I wanted. Car acting a fool all last night. Finally getting it figured out we’re headed to the track. We made it barely in time for a practice session. Car was super loose and almost in the wall. Couldn’t slow with brakes to load wheels. Get back to the pits and well in the s**t box car league rust and craziness seems to show up. Rusted out brake lines. Fixed a section and they kept popping new leaks down the line. Frustrated but not deterred!! Thanks Stanton for helping. It will be figured out. I promise

Hmmm.

🚨Is It Time To Reevaluate Sport Compact Payouts?👀🤔

This might be a conversation some people don’t want to have, but I think it’s one that absolutely needs to happen.

Over the years the Sport Compact class has evolved tremendously. What once started as guys bringing their everyday grocery getters to the racetrack for some fun has completely transformed. Today, many of these cars are purpose built race cars with serious time, money, and effort invested into them. The level of competition has skyrocketed, the cars are more advanced than ever, and the drivers in this class are putting on some of the most entertaining racing you’ll see at many local tracks.

Yet in a lot of places, the payouts still reflect the mindset that Sport Compacts are just a “filler class” or a sideshow.

But is that really fair anymore?

These teams are buying parts, building engines, traveling to races, and putting just as much heart and dedication into their programs as anyone else in the pit area. The class has grown, the talent pool has grown, and the racing itself has become legitimately competitive and exciting.

So the question becomes:

👉 Is it time for track promoters to start viewing the Sport Compact division as a legitimate class that deserves stronger payouts?
👉 Or do you think the current structure still makes sense?

I’m genuinely curious where everyone stands on this. Drivers, fans, promoters, drop your thoughts below👇
