I often spend time teaching people to ride, do chores on the farm not to mention trying to keep up with my kids, their sports and house chores that I don’t get to ride much myself. I have a few riders who kept saying I wanna see you ride! So lately I have been back in the saddle thanks to them for telling me to take a turn. It has felt so good to get some time to ride! Back to galloping away, literally. lol

Sibling day is listed on the website for Sunday September 13th but we are moving it to Saturday the 12th. Siblings or no siblings they can attend!

If you have any children who would like to attend please call or text me to sign up! Having some issues with the website.

Weather related changes will be posted on our page at 7 am morning of.

Please remember to pack a lunch for them as well as a water bottle. Sunscreen and bug spray or they can use what we have.

What a day it’s been! Sophie had her first ride on Champ, also it’s been a long time since she rode! All of us took turns riding, including me today (I don’t get to ride much anymore so felt great, especially when I cantered Champ!)

Hannah and Maddie both did some trotting today.

And most importantly, all of us got on Captain today! He did really well

Another great girls day! Minus the heat. Girls had a great time. Played a game on horseback before it got too hot to ride. Taught them the correct way to cool a horse down (he wasn’t that hot but still went thru it).

My helpers went thru some facts and horse safety!

Learned how to measure a horse, some learned to lead a horse, explained why we do slip knots!

Spent time with the other animals then ended it with painting Skye and washing her!

Thank you to everyone who came out today!

Haven’t updated about the blind duck lately but it is a girl! Someone suggested Ella so that’s her name :-)

She was a bit lonely as the other chickens and ducks were pecking her eyes so had to separate them however we had a lonely chick that hatched late and momma didn’t take her so now they are together!

Wanted to share a little update about Captain! Look at the progress he has made. He has been doing amazing with desensitizing and also did great allowing a rider. Yes we lead him too! All he really needed was time. He learned to trust people again. He really is a gentle giant.
