We ended our fall season yesterday. Unfortunately we did not get a team picture, but the boys showed up to play. They earned the #1 overall seed before the weather cancelled the championship game. With the #1 seed and the cancellation of the championship game, that meant we were the Gold Bracket Champs!

It wrapped up a very successful fall season for us. We played in 5 tourneys and brought home rings in 4 of them. Two runner-up rings and 2 champion rings. Now it’s on to the “offseason” as we get ready for what should be a fun spring season.

Yesterday was a long and challenging day. It was cold, rainy, windy, sunny, warm throughout the day. We had the first game of the day (after an hour delay) and honestly we did not play that well and definitely not to our potential. The boys battled and after falling behind got it back to a 1 run game (with the tying and go ahead runs on base), but came up short. The bats woke up for our second game as we jumped out to an early lead and never looked back thanks to a monster homerun by Nox Hewell. After a long and somewhat stressful break we learned we had made it to the silver bracket championship. Unfortunately as the weather cooled down, so did our bats and we ran out of steam. Although we didn’t play our best, we still competed and walked off the field smiling and with another ring. Now it’s back to work to prepare for our final fall tourney!

We know the post is a little late, but we’ve got to give credit to the boys for how they played over the weekend. It was a long and very wet day as we had the first and last games of the day. We seeded second overall in a tournament stacked with talent. We met a very good team in the championship and, although the boys fought the whole game, we just couldn’t pull it out in the end.

We also have a special shoutout to our very own JT Weaver. In our second pool play game JT hit an absolute monster shot to get the scoring started.

Back on the dirt this weekend for the Grand Slam Swinging for a Cure tournament. Come show your support at Dacula Park on Sunday!

Our surprise for the boys was some new special hats. We decided to not do the typical breast cancer awareness jersey for October, instead we did some custom hats. Cancer is a horrible thing that has an impact on everyone, and we wanted to carry those warriors with us on the field.

Each hat carries a cancer awareness ribbon on the right side and the name of a loved one that is or did battle cancer. The color of the name and ribbon are for the type of cancer each was diagnosed with.

We will carry their name on our hats and them in our hearts forever.

The boys are back on the field this weekend in Gwinnett. Come out to Harbins Park and cheer for them. We also have a surprise for them this weekend, so stay tuned!

I owe an apology to one of the boys. His birthday was almost 2 weeks ago and we did not recognize him for it. We know it is a little late but, Happy Birthday Bayne!!!

After almost 3 months, these boys are ready to take the field this weekend! Come out to Terrell Mill Park in Marietta and support them in their first 11U tourney. Let’s Go Ambush!!!

We know it is still August, but Fall is coming! The boys have been working hard and are ready to face some tough competition this season. Mark your calendars to come support these young men.

As the calendar turns to August, the fall season officially begins as we move to 11U! It also means back to school, and here’s to a great school year for all!
