Congrats to our Varsity Lady Dawgs on a huge road win over the Chapel Hill Lady Devils, 45–27!

Defense set the tone and controlled the game from start to finish. The Lady Dawgs brought the energy, hustle, and effort all night—playing together as one unit.

Scoring leaders:
Janaa Goynes led the way with 13 points
Nah Nah Wallace and Jordyn Dowell each added 9 points
Makinah Washington chipped in 7 points
Stormi McNeil finished with 4 points
Aaliyah Gray knocked down 3 points

This team shares the ball and the spotlight—on any given night, anyone can step up and lead the scoring. This victory makes the Lady Dawgs 18-5 for the season and 4-0 in District! Congrats again to our Varsity girls!

Congratulations to our High School Athlete of the Week, 11th grader Chloe Wood!

Chloe is a true multisport athlete, jumping right into a busy season as both softball and powerlifting get underway. Her coaches say she has been putting in the work all year during the offseason—consistently training, increasing her weights in the weight room, and staying in great shape. Chloe is extremely coachable and shows strong leadership on and off the field, setting a great example for her teammates.

We are excited to see all that she accomplishes this year in both softball and powerlifting. The future is bright—congrats, Chloe!

Congrats to our Junior High Girls Athlete of the Week, 7th grader Serenity Williams! 🐾

Serenity is a hardworking, dedicated athlete who sets the tone every day at practice. She’s often the first one dressed out and on the court, ready to work. Her hustle, effort, and willingness to listen and learn make her extremely coachable, and it shows on the floor.

Currently in basketball season, Serenity has been a big contributor for her team, giving consistent effort and playing with heart. We’re proud of the example she sets and the work she puts in.

Congrats to our Varsity Lady Dawgs on a hard-fought 51–47 victory over Hughes Springs last night!

It was a scrappy, physical game from start to finish. The Lady Dawgs showed great composure down the stretch, holding the lead in a tight 4th quarter and controlling the final minutes to close out the win.

Leading Scorers for the night were Stormi McNeil with 11 points, Jordyn Dowell with 11 points and Janaa Goynes with 10 points.

Great team effort and toughness when it mattered most. Way to go Lady Dawgs!
3-0 District Record/ 17-5 Overall

Congrats to both of our Jr High Girls basketball teams on their victories over Daingerfield last night!

The Lady Dawgs soared past Daingerfield on the road with a dominant 65–14 victory. Jefferson brought relentless defensive energy, forcing turnovers all night and converting them into 45 points off steals alone.

Leading scorers were Jade Mallory with 13 points, Makinah Washington with 11 points, and Jordyn Dowell with 11 points. It was another night of well-rounded scoring for the Lady Dawgs, with Destiny Kelly adding 8 points, Janaa Goynes and Keinysa Wallace each contributing 7 points, Stormi McNeil finishing with 4 points, and Kassiah Harris knocking down a 2-point bucket.

Defensively, the Lady Dawgs were locked in, totaling 26 steals and 33 deflections, showcasing their dominance on that end of the floor.

Up next, Jefferson returns home this Friday to face the Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs. See you there!
