🍎💛 Making an Impact That Lasts! 💛🐝

Our Wayne County High School cheer seniors each had the opportunity to choose a teacher who has made a lasting impact on their lives throughout their time at Wayne County High. Someone who has encouraged them, supported them, inspired them, or simply made a difference along the way.

As a small token of appreciation, we gifted each of their chosen teachers with a gift basket to let them know just how much they are appreciated!

Behind every successful student is someone who believed in them, pushed them to be their best, and made a difference beyond the classroom. We are so thankful for the educators who have helped shape our seniors into the young women they are today.

Thank you to these special teachers for the difference you make every day! 💛

🎉 Senior Night Under the Friday Night Lights 🎉

Friday the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as Wayne County High School's cheerleaders geared up for their senior night. This special event marked the peak of years filled with dedication and teamwork.

With the stands packed, the senior cheerleaders assembled on the field, each athlete proudly wearing a sash with their name. Families and friends cheered, capturing these precious moments as the seniors made their final walk across the field of Jaycee Stadium under the Friday night lights as high school cheerleaders!

The memories of cheering under the Friday night lights and competing on the mats will stay with them forever, a cherished chapter in their lives. For Wayne County High's cheerleaders, it was a night filled with emotion, pride, and the promise of new beginnings. What a season it has been for our Wayne County High School Competition Cheerleaders! 💛🖤

This season certainly brought its fair share of challenges, but our girls never stopped showing up, working hard, and giving it their all.

Over the summer, we made the difficult decision to compete JV rather than varsity. If you’ve seen the level of competition in the 5A division, you understand that this was not a decision we made lightly. Then, in August, injuries unfortunately sidelined several of our high school athletes.

We called on some of our 8th graders to step up and join us, bringing together our high school and middle school athletes to make it work. As the season continued, we faced another tough decision. Rather than push our athletes beyond their limits, we chose to compete in only two competitions this season.

And those TWO competitions? OUR GIRLS SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT! 🔥

We couldn’t be prouder of the determination, flexibility, teamwork, and heart these girls displayed throughout a season that didn’t always go according to plan. They adapted, trusted each other, and made the most of every opportunity they were given.Sometimes success isn’t measured by how many competitions you attend or how many trophies you bring home. Sometimes it’s measured by how you handle the challenges along the way.

To our high school athletes:
Kinleigh Drawdy
Sadie Griffin
Niyah Reed
Jada Wilkins
Faith Lewis
Ava Griffis
Carlie Futch
Adalyn Tyre
And Harper Bailey
thank you for never giving up on each other or this program. We are so proud of you!

To our 8th graders:
Ava Madray
Avery Cook
Cora Futch
Ella Thompson
Emma Thompson
Harper Starling
& Ramsey Blanton
Thank you for stepping up and showing you can be dependable and work hard for our program!

And lastly thank you to our senior Nygeria Guyton for not giving up on us! We wouldn't have been able to push through this season without you!

This chapter may be closing, but we’re already looking ahead.

STAY TUNED… We’re coming back STRONGER, BETTER, and READY for next season! 🐝💛🖤

🏆🐝 RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE CHAMPIONS! 🐝🏆

ONE. MORE. TIME. AND THEY DID IT! Our Wayne County Middle School Competition Cheerleaders are bringing home the 1ST PLACE TROPHY from the Rumble in the Jungle! 🥇

We couldn’t be prouder of this group of girls! Our cheer program has come such a long way over the past couple of years, and watching these athletes grow, work hard, overcome challenges, and accomplish so much has been nothing short of amazing. This first-place finish is a reflection of all the time, dedication, heart, and hard work they’ve poured into this season.

And while we’re celebrating this incredible victory, it’s also a bittersweet moment for our 8th graders. What a way to finish your middle school competition cheer career! You get to walk away as champions, but with that comes saying goodbye to teammates who have become more like family and getting ready to take that next step into high school. We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to see what the future holds!

To every athlete, coach, parent, and supporter who has been part of this journey, THANK YOU. This program is growing, and we’re just getting started!

The only place to go from here is UP!

Congratulations, Jackets! 💛🖤🐝

Wayne county middle school hosted the 2026 coastal empire middle school cheerleading competition regions this past Tuesday. Going into Regions, we faced some unexpected challenges with multiple injuries just this week alone. Our routines had to be changed and adjusted at the last minute, and our girls had to step up, adapt, and trust one another when things didn’t go exactly as planned. That’s not always easy, but they showed up and gave it everything they had!

While we may not have walked away with the results we hoped for, we are walking away with so much more than a trophy could ever represent. We are walking away proud of their growth, their determination, their teamwork, and the countless hours of hard work they have put into this season. These girls have come SO FAR, and no placement can take away the progress they’ve made or the memories they’ve created along the way!

Please help us congratulate and celebrate our amazing 2026–2027 Wayne County Middle School Competition Cheerleaders! 📣🐝
