DEFC Boys U14 | Sporting KC Classic Tournament Finalists 🏆

Our DEFC Boys U14 entered the Top Division of the Sporting KC Classic as the lowest-seeded team in the bracket.

Because of the success these boys have had over the years, tournament organizers gave them the opportunity to test themselves against some of the strongest competition around — including National League and Higher-Division Teams.

And our boys did what they always do: they embraced the challenge.

They battled through three tough group-stage games, winning two by a single goal and earning their spot in the championship.

By the final, the gas tank was running on empty, and we came up just short. But the heart, effort, and determination these boys showed all weekend was something special.

When we started this program, who would've thought that a small, independent club from a community many people have never even heard of would one day be lining up against some of the top clubs and teams in the region?

And not just competing with them, beating them!

Proud is an understatement.

What a journey this has been, and what a group of players to experience it with.
